Is a date that holds no meaning for Lucy. Which is unfortunate, because that’s when Luka is. After several hours of sciencing, Jiya finds him. It turns out the “negative mass energy” that’s so inconvenient to loose papers has a signature that can be tracked. She puts the Heart of Gold somewhere in the desert within a 50-mile radius of Las Vegas.
Lucy provides the why for the where. She says President Kennedy was in Las Vegas on that date for a DNC fundraiser at the Sands Hotel. Sinatra was the headliner and the room was full of politicians, celebrities, and waste management consultants. Any or all of them could be a target.
The Time Trio suit up and board the Omni. And I kind of love how analog the controls are, with the pushing of buttons and flipping of switches to initiate the launch sequence. It makes the craft feel solid and real in a way that a bank of sleek flat touch screens wouldn’t. The pod’s interior also reminds me of the Millennium Falcon’s cockpit, which I’m sure is no accident.

“The Assassination of Abraham Lincoln”

Confederate sympathizer John Wilkes Booth shoots President Abraham Lincoln at Washington, D.C.’s Ford’s Theater during a performance of “Our American Cousin.” Booth times his attack to the delivery of the line, “Don’t know the manners of good society, eh? Well, I guess I know enough to turn you inside out, old gal; you sockdologizing old man-trap!” He hopes to use the audience’s laughter to cover the sound of the gun shot.
After shooting Lincoln, Booth struggles with and stabs Major Henry Rathbone. Booth jumps 12 feet from the box to the stage below where he is generally reported to have cried, “Sic semper tyrannis!” Many in the audience thought it was all a part of the play – until Mary Todd Lincoln started screaming.
Lincoln is carried across the street to the Petersen boarding house where he dies at 7:22 am the next morning. Booth flees the theater and is killed 12 days later at the Garrett farm in Caroline County, VA.

The spell begins to wear off. Sam comes to back in the chair in the middle of the cellar.

Five-0’s next call of the morning is to the Akamu residence. The camera pulls back as McG, Caano, and Grover walk to the backyard, and we see the giant honking hole in the home’s roof. Show is all about the artful reveals this episode. The homeowner is dead on the ground with a hole in his chest.
Grover directs their attention to the house. He says a second body – or what’s left of it – is upstairs. Cause of death for DEA Special Agent Frank Evers is blunt force trauma from 10,000 feet. Sadly, the ground did not want to be friends with him.

Jin starts his morning by braiding little Sarah’s hair and assploding every ovary in a 10 mile radius. She turns her giant doe eyes on him and quietly asks why she has to go live with someone else. She wants to live with him. All of the feels. And, scene.
Moonlight and Caano are at the home of Alicia Brown, retired FBI behavioral analyst and profiler. The Serial Killing Serial Killer was in McG’s home. IT’S PERSONAL NOW. He thinks the chess piece is a taunt, but Alicia disagrees. The piece left behind was a knight, not a pawn like the others. She thinks S2K2 admires McG and sees him as a potentially powerful and dangerous adversary. So Moonlight’s got that going for him.
