A boy runs through the woods. He steals quick glances over his shoulder, checking the distance between him and the dark figure pursuing him. The boy trips over a log and sprawls onto the ground. The werewolf hauls him up and pins him against a tree. Just as the monster is about rip the boy’s fool heart out of his chest a shot rings out. The boy’s face is spattered with blood.
Mary Winchester lowers the still smoking sawed off.
She drives the boy home in her sapphire blue Mustang. Cheeky Show. Mary tells Asa he’s going to be fine. And that the thing that attacked him was a werewolf. One that she’d been tracking for a long time. She casually says they had history. And that with the exception of the odd loose end, she’s officially retired from hunting.
“But if you retire, who is going to save people like me?”

The church bells ring. Sunlight streams through the stained glass windows. A small group of parishioners offer their morning devotions. A woman stands in the back of the sanctuary, framed by the open doors. She walks slowly down the center aisle. Blood pours from the puncture wounds in her feet. There are matching marks on her palms. A woman praying in a pew screams as she passes by.

Two hipsters who should spend more time studying horror movies and less time on their Yelp reviews and man buns walk into an abandoned house. Natalie follows the sound of a crying baby to a back bedroom. A crib sits in the empty room. A bare lightbulb flickers above it. She folds back the blanket but there’s no baby. Just a creepy, horrible doll.
The couple try to flee but the door slams shut, trapping them inside the room.

Sam is having the sexy times with Lady Cardboard and I just threw up in my mouth a little.
It’s a spell induced hallucination. Another attack on Sam’s mind designed to gather information. You know, if Lady Cardboard does end up being Sam’s love interest, the upside is it will give his Peen of Death a chance to do us all a solid.
The spell begins to wear off. Sam comes to back in the chair in the middle of the cellar.

He slowly reaches out a hand to touch her, to make sure she’s solid and not a ghost. In a blink, Mary has him face down on the ground in an arm lock with her bare foot on his neck.

The Chuck and Cascifer reunion isn’t going well. Chuck just wants to let bygones be and move on. Cascifer isn’t ready to let go of the hurt of being discarded or his anger that Dad likes his new family better. He’s also decided that the fight against the Darkness isn’t bigger than family.
“The enemy of my enemy is my friend. Team Amara. Go Amara.”
Cascifer is acting like a snotty teen, right down to locking himself in Sam’s room and blasting angry music. “This is like the worst episode of Full House ever.” Dean isn’t wrong, and it’s only the first of many elements in this episode that I don’t care for. Lucifer has lost his menace, and without it, he just seems small. He’s an angel. He’s the Morningstar. But he feels too human here, and I don’t like it.
