And lest you think this has nothing to do with our Inciter-in-Chief, the crazy said, and I quote: “Fake news. I’m coming to gun you all down. I’m smarter than you. More powerful than you. I have more guns than you. More manpower. Your cast is about to get gunned down in a matter of hours. I’m coming to Georgia right now to go to the CNN headquarters to fucking gun every single last one of you.”
This is what happens when the most powerful man on Earth relentlessly attacks the media — some unhinged people are going to take his words to heart and are going to feel compelled to act. It’s not unprecedented: doctors who have performed abortions have been killed because of rhetoric like this; a pizza place was nearly shot to pieces because of rhetoric like this. Words have meaning, especially when they come from powerful sources.
But lest you think this would change anything, President Reckless was busy attacking both CNN and the FBI on twitter this morning:
I mean.

The Walking Dead midseason premiere is supposedly going to make you cry. We’ll see.
Netflix is giving up-and-coming comedians 15-minute stand-up specials. It’s an interesting idea that is shaking up standards. No word on how much they’re paying stand-ups, Mo’Nique.
Natalie Portman is returning to host Saturday Night Live. The musical guest will be Dua Lipa.
Judge Judy is being sued. Considering how much money she makes, it’s a minor miracle that she’s not CONSTANTLY being sued.
Time for Some Time’s Up
Irony Alert: Right after being celebrated for airing an episode on sexual harassment and boasting about being “a female empowerment show,” a producer of The Resident is under investigation for sexual harassment claims from when he was working on Code Black. In fact, the allegations came up after he shared on social media that first link I posted and people were like, “EXCUSE ME?”
Kevin Spacey and Louis C.K. cost Netflix $39 million.
Two of James Franco’s accusers spoke with Good Morning America and asked for him to apologize. Meanwhile, Franco was shut out of an Oscar nomination.
Turner networks, including TBS and CNN, are being sued for racial discrimination.
Ratings
- With the news of Ellen Pompeo signing on to Grey’s Anatomy for at least two more years, Grey’s all but has been renewed. Meanwhile, things are grim for Once Upon a Time.
- The Chicago series aren’t going anywhere. They are the highest rated series on NBC that haven’t already been renewed.
- Over on CBS, things aren’t looking good for Superior Donuts or 9JKL.
- The Bear is sour on Ghosted, but if its numbers hold steady in the next couple of weeks, I think it might still have a shot. It really isn’t that far from Fox’s other Sunday night shows.
Renewals
- Vampirina has been renewed for a second season by Disney Junior.
In Development
- What We Do in the Shadows has been picked up by FX with a pilot commitment. (Yay!)
- Mighty Ducks is being turned into a TV series. Somehow neither the Disney Channel nor ABC is tied to this, but give it time.
- CBS ordered three new pilots, all from female writers: History of Them, I Mom So Hard and Murder.
- NBC has ordered a pilot of FBI drama The Enemy Within.
- ABC is developing legal drama Illusion of Justice.
- The Contender, that boxing reality show that was on NBC back in the day, is coming back on Epix.
- Starz bought documentary America to Me.
- Sundance TV has greenlit three new docuseries: The Road to Jonestown, Ministry of Evil: The Twisted Cult of Tony Alamo, and The Preppie Murder.
- The novel The Oracle Year is being adapted into a TV series.
- Interesting: Snowpiercer has lost its showrunner.
Casting News
- Alexander Skarsgård is probably going to be in Big Little Lies 2? Somehow?
- Lisa Vidal, Felix Solis, and Amit Shah are joining the cast of CBS comedy pilot History of Them.
- Genie Francis will not be on General Hospital as much.
Mark Your Calendars
- Timeless returns on March 11. Heads up, Whit.
- Jessica Jones returns to Netflix on March 8.
- American Ninja Warrior: USA vs the World also returns on NBC on March 11.
