I don’t want to talk about it.

Justin Verlander’s dogniece recognizes him on the teevees (not that he’s pitching for us right now because it seems no one is pitching for us right now). Still: good dog.

Here’s A BUNCH OF TV News

Hi, it’s my birthday. And I mention that not because I want birthday wishes from you guys, but because I need to ask a favor: I don’t want to talk about it. I don’t want to talk about it! At least not today. I will take the weekend to breathe and sleep and think and eat and eat and eat my feelings. And then, on Monday, I will be willing to talk about it. But today, the day of my birth, my birthday wish is to NOT TALK ABOUT IT. Happy birthday to me.

What I will accept as a birthday gift is the news that Steve Bannon has to go straight to jail on Monday. As soon as Bannon has turned himself in, I will talk about it.

Nicola Coughlan, whom we already adore, noted in an interview that her dream job would be to release a Real Housewives-esque song for gay men. “They don’t even really sing. They just list things. They’re like, ‘Shoes, and private yachts. Caviar, and more shoes.’” She’s absolutely correct. Anyway, someone took that clip of her, turned it into a real song, and now she’s using it to raise money for LGBTQ+ organizations.

Perfect Wife: The Mysterious Disappearance of Sherri Papini has become Hulu’s most-watched docuseries ever. It’s a bonkers story, and a good watch.

Prime Video has not quite beaten free fast shipping as the reason people become Prime members, but it’s catching up.

The NFL got hit with a $4.7 billion judgment over their Sunday Ticket packages, forcing consumers to buy an expensive package for all the teams on Sunday afternoons, instead of allowing fans of a particular team to pay for only that team’s games. At least I think that’s what this means.

I don’t care about sportsball (see above) but it’s kinda cool that the Los Angeles Lakers picked up Bronny James, creating “the first-ever father-son duo in the league’s history to play at the same time, much less on the same team.” I mean, nepo babyism at the extreme, yeah, but still kinda cool.

  1. Happy birthday! And I can’t handle talking about it either. I appreciate your voice of sanity over these years.

  2. Enjoy your Birthday!! Last night I yelled and cursed so many times at that bully chump that I’m hoarse today. I feel so sad for Joe but he was great today at his NC rally.
