You’ll never guess who nearly played George on ‘Seinfeld’

Here’s A BUNCH OF TV News

Netflix’s gamble with adding an ad-supported level and cracking down on password-sharing is paying off: they added 2.6 million subscribers in July.

The writers’ strike is not over yet — and based on the WGA saying that their latest meeting with the AMPTP was just a lecture from Bob Iger, it doesn’t sound like it’s going to be over anytime soon — but Sam Levinson is already teasing what season three of Euphoria will look like. According to Levinson, it will be a “film noir” as seen through Rue’s eyes. Make of that what you will.

Gen V has released a character guide to the newest supes.

The sheer number of Paul Rudd easter eggs in Only Murders in the Building is just delightful.

The first episode of Ahsoka is dedicated to late actor Ray Stevenson, who stars in the series. And I failed to acknowledge back when he died in May that he co-starred in Rome, as Titus. And that he was just wonderful in the role.

I learned from this story about Jason Alexander doing a Woody Allen impersonation for his Seinfeld audition that Chris Rock was originally offered the role of George Costanza, which I think is a much more interesting bit of trivia, honestly. At first blush, Rock is a weird choice for George, especially since Alexander eventually just does a spot-on Larry David impersonation for the entirety of the series. That said, Rock does have some of that roiling, barely-contained anger in him, and I think could have pulled it off; just in a very different, much less schlubby way.

Hey, X-Files fans: we still have four months left of 2023 in which Tooms could return. Keep an eye on your A/C vents.

This is genuinely funny A++ trolling right here, especially after that montage of Fox News hosts freaking out about Dark Brandon:
