I’ll give you one guess as to which cable news network won’t be covering the January 6 report from Congress. One guess. 1.

If I were an animator, and if I were making an animated movie about the Buddha, I would make the Buddha a capybara.

That is one chill capybara from AnimalsBeingBros

Thursday night, the U.S. House Select Committee investigating the event so January 6, will deliver a presentation on their findings in primetime. The three major broadcast networks and cable news channels all plan on covering it live  – with one very notable and very obvious exception. Considering Fox News and its personalities are neck-deep in the conspiracy itself, this should come as little surprise.

I do hope you’re planning to watch. I certainly will be.

Over at The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, they poked fun at CNN’s recent announcement to cut down on the use of the “BREAKING NEWS” chyrons. What makes this charming is that the mandate comes from Chris Licht, the new head of CNN, who most recently used to run The Late Show with Stephen Colbert:

Might Obi-Wan Kenobi finally reconcile the Luke/Leia/Padma plot hole created by Revenge of the Sith? MAYBE.

Ben Kenobi almost had a love interest in Obi-Wan Kenobi. I’m sure the fans would have handled that with the coolness they are so well-known for.

Showtime’s version of American Gigolo has already alienated one person.

The Raised by Wolves cast are hoping you’ll help save their show:

Welp, Seth Green might be getting his NFT back, so that dumb show might back be on.

The Emmy nominations are going to be a mess this year.

RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 7 became Paramount+’s most-streamed reality series, which is no surprise considering how amazing this season is. JINKX FOR THE WIN.

LOL, Ramona Singer is an idiot.

I’m a life-long General Hospital viewer, so I found this list of cameos by the actors’ real life family members delightful. Though, I would argue, the role of Peter August was hardly a “cameo.” But also, I HAD NO IDEA ABOUT THAT REAL-LIFE RELATIONSHIP. Mind. Blown.

And while we’re on the topic of General Hospital, it’s the first daytime soap to feature a trans character played by a trans actress, one Cassandra James, and she’s great.

Make your reservations soon for The Golden Girls Kitchen, a pop-up diner in Los Angeles next month.

60 Minutes is getting its own Pluto channel soon, containing its archive of episodes.

More Peabody Award winners have been announced, including the very deserving Hacks and PBS’ January 6th Reporting.

#MeToo

After it was alleged that he sent inappropriately flirty messages to a contestant on SYTYCD and was fired, Matthew Morrison spoke out on a video on Instagram. In it, he said:

“It’s really unfortunate that I have to sit here and defend myself and my family against blatantly untrue statements made anonymously, but I have nothing to hide. So, in the interest of transparency, I will read to you the one message I wrote to a dancer on the show.

“Hey, it’s Matthew. If you don’t mind, would love to get your number and talk you through some things.

“The end. I sent this because this dancer and I both share a mutual respect for a choreographer that I’ve known for over 20 years, and I was trying to help her get a job as a choreographer on the show.”

except to say that if you have this lunatic on your side, maybe you’re not on the right side.

Actually, one last thing about the Depp/Heard mess: what everyone seems to have completely lost sight of is that this was a defamation case, one that he brought against her for writing an op-ed in which his name never appeared. And based on that alone, as far as I’m concerned, the jury got it very, very, very wrong. I do hope she appeals, because putting aside the questions of whether or not “mutual abusers” or if she was a gold-digging liar or if this verdict will embolden other abusers to sue their victims to silence them, at core, the jury here clearly didn’t understand what the case was about or the law involved.

Here’s what you need to know about the current sexual assault court case against Bill Cosby.

Louis C.K. filmed a secret movie, and it will be screening in New York, Boston and Chicago. He’s hoping to find more theaters that will show it; I’m hoping just the opposite, but am prepared to be disappointed.

Stoney Westmoreland, an actor who was known for his Disney Channel roles, has been sentenced to two years in prison for trying to entice a minor into sex.

Deshaun Watson is facing yet another sexual misconduct lawsuit — making it the 23rd against him.

Nice try, Harvey. Rot in prison, you monster.

The BBC is making their presenters attend “respect at work” training sessions. Good.
