THESE ARE TWO VERY GOOD DOGGOS:
All Other TV News
This will certainly only be of interest to my Houston readers, but if you’re among them, I wrote up a piece for Chron.com about the Houston food scene as seen on food TV. I watched every episode of every show — obscure or popular — that dedicated the entire episode to Houston. (So, no Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives, for instance. By my count, there were well over 90 shows that featured Houston in one way or another, and if I watched every single one of them, I’d still be wading through them.)
A few things: 1. The piece sort of ended up being a history of the Houston food world — from moving from being primarily a barbecue and Tex-Mex kind of city to the global culinary destination it is today. 2. Andrew Zimmern? He gets our town. 3. This guide is most helpful if you subscribe to Discovery+, because that’s where most of these episodes are going to be.
I’m a huge fan of We’re Here on HBO, and I have seen the show’s hosts give some amazing performances both on this show and during their respective times on RuPaul’s Drag Race and Drag Race All-Stars. But I have NEVER in MY LIFE seen a reveal like the one Bob the Drag Queen did on this week’s episode of We’re Here. You have never seen anything like it either, I promise.

Here, Bob the Drag Queen reveals how he did it. Pure genius.
HOW DID I MISS “TOBY SOPRANO” IN THAT DAVID CHASE INTERVIEW? TOBY! TOBY SOPRANO!

Happy Stranger Things Day Eve! (No, Stranger Things is not returning tomorrow, instead this is just some promo thing.)
You can now watch the first episode of Yellowjackets on Showtime for free. The series premieres on November 14.
Of course, Nene Leakes is open to returning to The Real Housewives of Atlanta. You didn’t really think she’d stay away, did you?
Susan Kelechi Watson — Beth on This Is Us — revealed that she co-wrote an episode about Beth’s backstory for this upcoming final season.
Eve is going on maternity leave from Queens ahead of her February due date.
Jeffrey Toobin thinks Rudi Giuliani and Fox News are in deep doo-doo over the election fraud claims. WELL, LET’S CERTAINLY HOPE SO.
Guy Fieri has offered to marry Kristen Stewart and Dylan Meyer in the most random collection of proper nouns I’ve ever seen.
Hey, remember Lodge 49? Wyatt Russell reveals what would have happened in a third season, alas.
I’m going to say two controversial things: 1. I have fallen out of love with watching movies in movie theaters and will always choose to stay home. 2. I have never really liked popcorn, movie theater or otherwise. So regarding this story about AMC making its popcorn available for delivery next year?
Lionsgate is considering selling Starz off, hoping, I guess, for some of that Amazon money.
Dave Chappelle: The Closer‘s audience skewed mostly male — the most male on Nielsen’s list for the week of October 4 — surprising absolutely no one.
Chris Pratt just keeps becoming more fucking awful, huh? Team Anna Faris forever.
