That’s All Folks: Paramount wins the battle for Warner Bros. (Maybe.)

Here’s A BUNCH OF TV News

Welp, Netflix didn’t make a counteroffer to Paramount’s bid for Warner Bros., so it looks like that nepo baby David Ellison won. Ted Sarandos said in a statement: “We believe we would have been strong stewards of Warner Bros.’ iconic brands, and that our deal would have strengthened the entertainment industry and preserved and created more production jobs in the U.S.  But this transaction was always a ‘nice to have’ at the right price, not a ‘must have’ at any price.”

However, it’s not a sure thing: Senator Adam Schiff is calling for the “highest levels of scrutiny” of the deal free from White House pressure, and Senator Cory Booker is demanding that David Ellison testify before the Senate on the deal. Additionally, the California Attorney General is doing their own review of the merger.

There is a lot of fear over what this merger will mean for employees at both Warner Bros. and Paramount and possible redundancies. And then there’s the whole CNN of it all — all one has to do is look at what Paramount has done to CBS News to see why people at CNN are worried. Pray for HBO.

Even the grandson of Jack Warner, founder of Warner Bros., is worried about what would happen if Paramount buys the studio. “The deal with Netflix was a good marriage,” Orr says, adding that Warner “merging with Paramount Skydance is like a shotgun wedding with your dumb cousin. I fear for the health of the kids.”

Grey’s Anatomy paid tribute to Eric Dane with a lovely video montage:

Lisa Rinna confirms that she tested positive for “fentanyl, high levels of amphetamines and other things” following the Traitors premiere party, and claims that she knows many other people who have been roofied at this particular location.

Jimmy Fallon will be a guest on Stephen Colbert’s show for the first time (and most likely, the last time).

Love isn’t dead? Maybe?

Sarah Michelle Gellar pays tribute to Michelle Trachtenberg a year after her death.
