Wait, will ‘The Bachelorette’ return before ‘The Bachelor’ this season?

May this kind of love never find me.

Here’s A BUNCH OF TV News

The VMAs were a huge hit on CBS which, again, the median age of the MTV viewer is 56, so this just makes sense.

If you’re old enough to appreciate this, you’re probably an MTV viewer:

Sigourney Weaver digs the Alien: Earth series, and feels about it the way I do.

This has something to do with The Bachelor, apparently — maybe The Bachelorette will be returning, but taking The Bachelor‘s traditional January premiere date? And if it does return, who will the Bachelorette be? One of the women from Bachelor in Paradise, maybe? Or will it be Maria from Joey’s season? She was on Call Me Daddy recently, apparently. Or are they maybe hinting that Alex Cooper will host The Bachelor? (No. No chance. Jesse Palmer’s got an iron-clad contract, I’m sure.) BEATS ME. But it does remind me, I need to go finish those BiP recaps.

There could have been a Supernatural/The Vampire Diaries crossover IF THEY HAD JUST A LITTLE BIT OF IMAGINATION. (I’m kidding, it would have been a terrible idea.)

A Law & Order FAST channel is now available on LG Channels, Pluto TV, Prime Video, The Roku Channel, Samsung TV Plus, and Xumo Play.

The Murdoch family saga over control of News Corp and Fox Corp has finally been settled, and not in a great way for those of us who are concerned about Fox Corp and News Corp’s poisoning of the media and our political culture.

CBS has hired Kenneth Weinstein, the former president of a conservative think tank, to be their “ombudsman.” Super.

According to NeNe Leakes, Lisa Vanderpump vanderstabbed her in the back over the property that would later become Pump. I believe it.

Raymond Cruz, the actor who played Tuco on Breaking Bad, was arrested after he sprayed a neighbor with his garden hose.

Congratulations, Eric Stonestreet and Lindsay Schweitzer!

#MeToo

It’s been a difficult week for President Sex Pest.

On September 3rd, a group of bipartisan Congresspeople accompanied a group of Jeffrey Epstein survivors on the steps of the Capitol to demand that Congress release the “Epstein File,” once and for all.

And purely coincidentally, I’m sure, there was a military flyover at the same time as the press conference.

Oh, and in a classy move, President Gropey called the Epstein story a “Democratic hoax,” and his White House threatened Republicans that it would be seen as a “hostile act” if they vote to release the files. Very innocent behavior! Very convincing!

Speaker of the House Mike Johnson, clearly not having heard that the messaging was now that the whole thing is a hoax, claimed that President Grab ‘Em By the Pussy was actually an FBI informant working to take Epstein down.

He had to walk that back.

And then yesterday: 1. the note that President At Least 28 Women Have Accused Him of Sexual Misconduct wrote to Jeffrey Epstein on the occasion of Epstein’s 50th birthday was released, and it’s just as creepy as it sounded.

2. And there was another note in the same birthday book that featured a photo of Epstein and a Mar-A-Lago member holding a large check with a caption “joking” about selling a “fully depreciated” woman to Donald Trump for $22,500.

3. A federal appeals court upheld the $83.3 million defamation judgment against him by one of those 28 women, E. Jean Carroll.

4. At the Bible Museum, President Mushroom Dick minimized spousal abuse.

Over at Fox News, Jesse Watters referred to his fellow Fox personality, Maria Bartiromo, by her old nickname, “The Money Honey.” When his fellow Fox anchors pointed out that she hates that name, he shrugged it off, saying, “We can say it—Trump is in office.” I hate it here.

Gerard Depardieu will stand trial for rape and sexual assault of actress Charlotte Arnould.

Comedian and Last Comic Standing winner, John Reep, was arrested for a number of felony charges of sexual exploitation of a minor.

British actor John Alford was found guilty of sexually abusing teen girls.

Former NFL linebacker Micheal Barrow was arrested for domestic violence.

Miami Dolphins assistant coach Ryan Crow was arrested for domestic violence.

Disney is being sued for systemic pay inequality.

At a press event for the upcoming film, After the Hunt, an Italian journalist suggested that #MeToo and Black Lives Matter are “done” in a question directed at Julia Roberts and Andrew Garfield, and explicitly excluding Ayo Edebiri, who was also there. Edebiri wasn’t having it, though, responding:

“I know that that’s not for me, and I don’t know if it’s purposeful if it’s not for me… [but] I don’t think it’s done,” a notably gobsmacked Edebiri said. “I don’t think it’s done at all.”

She continued, “Hashtags might not be used as much but I do think that there’s work being done by activists, by people every day that’s beautiful, important work. That’s not finished, that’s really, really active for a reason because this world’s really charged. And that work isn’t finished at all.”

Kathy Griffin is sorry for everyone she attacked in the 90s and early 2000s, specifically Anna Nicole Smith.

“Let me just say again, apologies for everything I ever said in the ’90s and 2000s, but once again, unless you lived through the ’90s and 2000s, you don’t know what a vicious time it was comedically. Vicious.”

The entertainer went on to call the era a “terrible time for women,” and cited things like wet t-shirt contests as rampant examples of men fetishizing women without question.

“So, I was vicious to Anna, and I also witnessed a lot of tough times with her because when she was messed up, she could be nasty, she could be rough,” Griffin continued. “I know, in her heart, she was so abused by the business.”

If you or someone you know has experienced sexual assault, you can call the National Sexual Assault Hotline at 1-800-656-HOPE (4673), which routes the caller to their nearest sexual assault service provider. You can also search for your local center here
