Here’s A BUNCH OF TV News
Hoping everyone is safe after Milton, including Anderson Cooper.

Anderson Cooper just out here getting doinked in the head by hurricane debris. CNN’s about to get haunted by the ghost of Gloria Vanderbilt so bad. pic.twitter.com/cyee9yGzln

Can someone get Anderson Cooper away from that railing before he’s washed away? pic.twitter.com/HeI3B9j8Vg

CNN had better let Anderson Cooper black out on New Yearβs Eve for this. pic.twitter.com/MvAxR8Ekiv

Meanwhile Taylor Swift and Elon Musk are offering two different approaches to helping hurricane victims: one donated $5 million to Feeding America for hurricane relief; the other offered “free” internet to victims, at a cost of $400 for hardware (that requires electricity that many victims won’t have) and then they would be automatically subscribed to their $120 per month plan. Can you guess which is which?
And while all this is going on, while people are fighting for their lives or trying to rebuild, the President of the United States had to go on television and tell people that the federal government does not control the weather and is not creating hurricanes which is a thing that Republicans are actually saying. HOW IN OUR YEAR OF BEYONCE 2024 ARE WE OUT HERE HAVING TO SWAT DOWN WEATHER CONTROL CONSPIRACY THEORIES? Spare a prayer for the meteorologists out there fighting for their lives.
For God’s sakes, don’t tell me to “do research” on weather. I’m a meteorologist. My literal job is to research the weather.

VP Kamala Harris just called into CNN following a briefing on Hurricane Milton. I asked about dangerous misinformation coming in part from Donald Trump. Harris says it is “unconscionable, frankly, that anyone who would consider themselves a leader would mislead desperate people.” pic.twitter.com/FiwvtdfBqt

It’s a dangerous, cynical game that will get people hurt. A reminder: Republicans are the only ones out here voting against FEMA funding, and they refuse to come back to Washington early to do anything to help. Vote accordingly in November (or even better, vote early).

So, we learned the other day that NBC News delayed the release of Separation, a documentary about the Former President White Nationalist’s family separation policy, because they were hoping he might agree to a Presidential Debate on their network. But here’s the thing: Former President Propaganda-friendly Fox News just suggested a debate at the end of the month with Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum as moderators. In response, Former President ALL CAPS screamed into the void that he will not be participating, thankyouverymuch, because Vice President Kamala Harris so thoroughly humiliated him last time that his ego is still in recovery (and failing), I mean, he “won” the last debate and doesn’t need to do another.
Trump uses a lot of nonsensical gibberish to say that heβs too afraid to debate Kamala again because he got his ass kicked last time and heβs afraid of her. pic.twitter.com/yPousBP9N0

Anyway, the point is, NBC News, I hope you’re paying attention, you cowards.
Former President Thin Skin is also big mad at the ladies of The View. So nothing new there. The ladies are unbothered.
CBS executives are in disagreement about that Ta-Nehisi Coates interview with Tony Dokoupil. CBS News publicly rebuked Dokoupil’s aggressive questioning saying that it did not meet their βeditorial standards.β But Paramount Chair Shari Redstone called that statement a “mistake.”
Rome and Paris are having a hilarious slapfight over Emily in Paris (or is it Rome?).

OK, but why was Gene Simmons guest judging Dancing with the Stars in the first place? Is he known for dancing?
Director Paul Feig reveals that softening Michael on the American version of The Office saved the series. “While the Brits ‘love tearing down a bore,’ Americans tend to want to sympathize with an unlikable lead character. If they don’t like the character, ‘they’ll tune it out. They just won’t watch it.'”
Starz and BritBox are offering a discounted bundle.
You’ll be able to add Apple TV+ to your Prime Video subscription (for a fee, of course).
Prime Video is also extending its student discounts to all young adults between the ages of 18-24.
More local stations want to take the 9/10 p.m. hour from the networks. It’s an interesting fight in the midst of the streaming drain. Stay tuned.
Jennifer Lopez is winning the post-divorce game.
Lopez also revealed that her team didn’t want her to do American Idol because it would destroy her movie career. And, I mean, to be fair to her team, just look at Paula Abdul’s film career.
Obviously, they’re making The Penguin bourbon.
Brace yourself for all the man-baby tears.
Edward J. Scott is returning as a senior producer to The Young and the Restless after spending 14 years with The Bold and the Beautiful.
Jenna Bush Hager thinks The Today Show studios are haunted and I for one choose to believe her.

Maybe it’s self selecting from growing up in small southeast Texas towns, but the number of people I know that have fully bought into this weather control conspiracy theory is scary.
Oof. It’s so upsetting.
