Thanks to a song choice that is unashamedly manipulative and this coming at the end of a very rough year, this video of a bunch of very good dogs made me sob as if my own dog had died. It’s WONDERFUL. You’ve been warned.

Andy Cohen had quite the New Year’s Eve, co-hosting CNN’s Times Square coverage with best friend Anderson Cooper. After a few shots …

Cohen began tearing into former New York City Mayor Bill DeBlasio:

Andy was, as many people are, regretful the next morning:
🌧 good morning! 🌧. Um, I was a bit overserved last night…. 🥴
— Andy Cohen (@Andy) January 1, 2022
After Radar Online ran a story claiming Cohen had been fired from the show, CNN confirmed that Andy will be back next year with Anderson — because, I mean, that is television gold.
As for Andy, the only thing he regrets is being mean to Ryan Seacrest and ABC.
“The only thing that I regret saying, the only thing is, that I slammed the ABC broadcast and I really like Ryan Seacrest, and he is a great guy, and I really regret saying that. I was just stupid and drunk and feeling it,” he said on his Sirius Radio show.
And I’m sure the fact that Seacrest is the cohost of his other best friend, Kelly Ripa’s show, and that Andy doesn’t want to be blacklisted from ABC, has nothing to do with it.

According to Politico, The View is struggling to find a replacement for Meghan McCain because they are looking for someone who is Conservative who is opposed to the January 6th insurrection, but pro-Former President Insurrectionist, but someone who is vaccinated, but someone who is willing to fight and isn’t too chummy with the other hosts, but someone who won’t quit in a couple of years. LOLOLOLOL OK GOOD LUCK.
Fox News contributor Lisa Marie Boothe was supposedly close to landing the job, but she made it clear she would not be getting vaccinated, so they had to pass on her. (She then contracted COVID, obviously.)
As for The View, they claim they are on track to find the replacement, and everyone should just calm down.
A massive snowstorm in Virginia shut down I-95 for hours, trapping motorists in their cars in below-freezing temperatures for almost 24 hours, and one MSNBC reporter was amongst them, reporting on it the entire time.
Can you guess what the most-watched show on Disney+ was last year? Because it might surprise you.
Kate Winslet claims that season two of Mare of Easttown, if it happens, will take a look at police brutality. Make it happen, HBO.
Jeff Lowe, the guy who took over Joe Exotic’s zoo, has been banned from running zoos.
Here’s a fun list of TV shows to look forward to this year.
Patton Oswalt performed with old friend Dave Chappelle on New Year’s Eve, and now people are really mad at him.
Oswalt followed the post up later with an apology for the deep hurt his post caused and affirmed that he is for trans rights. But, he argued, we shouldn’t cut people out of our lives just because we disagree with them, and that people are constantly growing and evolving. It’s a nuanced position that, as someone who has plenty of people I love with whom I strongly disagree with, I understand.
White people have lost their damn minds. Again. When a Korean news anchor in St. Louis covered a nothing story about foods traditionally eaten on New Year’s Day, she mentioned in passing that she enjoyed some dumplings herself. Yum! Dumplings are great!
So a Karen called the station to express her displeasure, angry that Ms. Li was being “very Asian,” and insisting that she keep her “Korean to herself.”
WHITE PEOPLE, I AM BEGGING YOU: CUT IT OUT.
Houston St. John’s graduate was found guilty on four counts of fraud and conspiracy.
Ghislaine Maxwell was found guilty on five of six felony counts of sex trafficking. GOOD. Now how about we prosecute the men who actually had sex with the young girls she abused.
SPEAKING OF: The BBC made a whoopsie by interviewing lawyer and gross person Alan Dershowitz following the announcement of Maxwell’s verdict. Dershowitz is one of the men that Jeffrey Epstein’s survivor, Virginia Roberts Giuffre, has accused of abusing her, a fact that the BBC somehow forgot to mention when they interviewed him. They are terribly sorry and are looking into how it happened. OK.
Chris Noth has been accused of sexual assault by a fifth woman. And Just Like That … was in talks for a second season, but negotiations have been paused in the wake of this scandal. (It’s likely to be renewed, I’m guessing, but for public relations purposes, they want to put some distance between this news and announcing season two.)
A second CNN producer, Rick Saleeby, has resigned after Project Veritas broke a story about him texting fantasies about an underage girl.
It was while doing research for the series The Morning Show that the allegations against Good Morning America producer Michael Corn originally came to light, reportedly.
James Franco is sorry he was a creep all those times, and he still loves Seth Rogan even though he broke professional ties with him over the allegations.
Devin Ratray, a child actor from Home Alone, has been arrested for domestic abuse.
Joan Collins has opened up about the abuse she suffered over the course of her life, including being drugged and raped by her first husband when she was 17. “I survived being a young actress when practically all the men were predators, They used to say female stars were finished at 27, but here I am after seven decades in the business to tell you a thing or two about how to survive the perils of the profession,” she said. Queen.

Re: Disney+ numbers – my first guess was Bluey but that’s because it’s the best show on TV and we watch it like 90% of the time.
