A ‘Community’ reunion, an update to “Let’s Go to the Mall,” “Kiss From a Rose” performed by Seals and other things to breifly take your mind off everything going to shit in the world

Howdy friends. It’s Friday, and I have been laughing — perhaps irrationally — about this video for hours now:

RIGHT? Right.

Community is reuniting for a table read of “Cooperative Polygraphy” on the Community YouTube page at 4/5 p.m. and yes, Donald Glover will be there. If you’re interested you can submit questions ahead of time on social media by using the hashtag #AskCommunity or tagging @CommunityTV.

Tina Fey, Michael Che, Will Smith, Will Ferrell, Wanda Sykes, Stephen Colbert and Colin Quinn are joining the comedians on Feeding America Comedy Festival airing on NBC this Sunday.

Bravery and Hope: 7 Days on the Front Line, a special about the front lines of a New York hospital, will air on CBS on May 15.

AFV@Home, an America’s Funniest Home Videos special will air on May 17.

The CW will be airing Penn & Teller: Try This at Home on May 18, a quarantine-special episode filmed in the homes of Penn & Teller and their magician friends around the world.

What Happens at Home, a reality series that follows Christina Milian’s life under lockdown, is coming to Facebook Watch.

How I Met Your Mother‘s Colbie Smulders offered a quarantine-themed version of “Let’s Go to the Mall” because she loves you:

New Amsterdam‘s season finale was supposed to take place in the Dominican Republic after a hurricane, but who knows if it will ever happen now.

Apparently, the shutdown might be good for the upcoming Walking Dead movies? Sure.

Oh look, now one of Vice President Marshmallow’s aides has tested positive.

And be on guard: President Unfamiliar with the Truth and the right are already trying to plant seeds of doubt about the official death counts.

Bored in quarantine, Sarah Michelle Gellar decided to show off the fact that she is the same size she was back when she filmed Buffy:

Cord-cutting is being sped up thanks to the Rona.

Shanghai Disney’s opening day tickets sold out in hours. Disney Springs, an outdoor shopping, dining, and entertainment complex at Disney World is opening back up in a limited way on May 20. Disneyland has pushed back all reservations to July.

The New York Film Festival is still planning on being held in September but is also making contingency plans to go virtual if need be.

Wonder what flying is like right now? NOT FUN.

Unemployment is at nearly 15%, a level not seen since the Great Depression.

Good News:

Guy Fieri — who is an easy punchline — has raised over $20 million for out of work food workers and you know, bless him.

Andy Serkis is reading The Hobbit on YouTube today to raise money for relief efforts.

Netflix and creators have raised $1 million for food workers as part of their announcement that they are taking their Emmy campaigning digital and won’t be holding events where they might have otherwise been serving food.

All Other TV News

Last night, the “Restaurant Wars” episode of Top Chef Masters aired, and this writer was one of the diners who was lucky enough to participate.

A Too Hot to Handle couple got engaged over Zoom so that is definitely going to last forever.

Kaitlyn Bristowe, who was the Bachelorette in 2015, has opened up on her YouTube channel about her struggle with an addiction to Valium. (This happened before she joined The Bachelor.) In happier news, she’s apparently living with that very nice boy, Jason Tartick from Becca’s season of The Bachelorette, because true story: once you’ve appeared on one of these shows, you are no longer allowed to date anyone from the outside world.

Vanity Fair has made a Mother’s Day shopping guide based on TV’s most interesting mothers and because it is Vanity Fair, everything costs $5,000.

Get well soon, Brian May’s ass.
