Nathan Fillion, Summer Glau, Adam Baldwin, Jewel Staite and Sean Maher, like you, are very curious as to why Netflix hasn’t brought Firefly back yet. Netflix? Are you listening?

Some post-Emmy news for you:
- Sarah Paulson had Marcia Clark’s name engraved on her Emmy in another show of class. And now Christopher Darden will take Sterling K. Brown’s calls. All it took was an Emmy win.
- Don’t step to Dame Maggie Smith, Jimmy Kimmel, because she will come for your ass.
- Christian Siriano was all over the Emmys last night. And aside from Anna Chlumsky’s DISASTER, everyone looked fabulous.
- You know what is not cool? Stealing someone’s purse while she’s off accepting her Emmy. NOT COOL.

One of the guys who brought us Preacher is developing The Last Policeman, a sci-fi series for NBC.
In other development news:
- ABC bought a Latino sibling comedy that will star comedians Felipe Esparza and Dustin Ybarra.
- The guys who created Undateable have sold a space workplace comedy called Spaced Out to NBC.
- CBS bought a family comedy from the guy who created Jake in Progress. Fun fact: Jake in Progress aired for two seasons on ABC and you have absolutely no memory of it.
- His Bloody Project, a murder mystery novel, is being developed into a British series.
Here’s The Grand Tour‘s new teaser trailer if you’re interested in watching other people driving fast cars. Don’t worry, my teenage son has already seen it.

I’m just curious what everyone thought of last night’s new shows — or if you even watched. What say you?
The return of the fall season means the return of looking at ratings and gauging whether a show is about to be cancelled or not. Here’s a good run-down on what it takes for a show to be a hit in today’s TV environment. MATH!
And most of these shows haven’t aired yet, but it’s a safe bet they’ll be back for the 2017-2018 season.
