I somehow missed that President Chode was suing The New York Times over an article that suggested that The Apprentice made him a celebrity. Anyway, a judge is allowing him to amend his lawsuit after the paper tried to get the case thrown out on account of it being bullshit.

Apparently the cast of American Horror Story will be playing all of their multiple roles in this upcoming 13th season? OK, Ryan Murphy. We’ll see.

Courtney Stodden called Jason Alexander out for a 2012 Funny or Die sketch that he wrote and starred in with her when she was 17. And she’s right:

To his credit, Alexander extended an apology via TMZ:

“Looking back at the comedy sketch in which Ms. Stodden and I participated in 2012, I completely agree that it was inappropriate and I truly regret it. But more importantly, I am deeply sorry for any harm or distress it has caused Ms. Stodden. I offer her my sincerest apologies.”

Stodden seemed genuinely surprised that Alexander apologized, but added that she would appreciate support on her actual cause: to pass California bill AB 1267, which would ban child marriage and make the legal marriage age 18. 

“I’m very taken aback that an adult was actually able to take accountability because I haven’t heard a lot of adults take accountability,” Stodden explains. “When I first got word that he publicly apologized I was grateful because I think that’s the first step in change. At the same time, I think it would be even better if he put that into action, so I would urge Jason Alexander to support AB 1267 and support what’s happening in California or even donate to Unchained at Last.”

I’m happy to report that Jason Alexander made a $15 thousand donation to Unchained at Last.

Child marriage is allowed in 34 states, and the vast majority of these marriages are underage girls to adult men. In three of those states, there is NO MINIMUM AGE with a parent’s or a judge’s permission. And here’s another horrific fact: though it is legal for children to marry in those states with their parents’ permission, they can not seek a divorce before they are 18 because they are not old enough to legally do so. No, but seriously, what the fuck is wrong with us?

That asshole is still trying to claw back the money he was forced to pay E. Jean Carroll.

A tragic case out of Oklahoma, where a TikTok influencer, Sara Gilson, was murdered by her husband after she made a video revealing he was a pedophile. Her husband, Jeremiah “Shawn” Duffey, then killed himself.

What happened to #MeToo? It’s almost as if it never happened.
