Everyone is so grossed out by what President Toddler said about Rob Reiner … including some of his fans

Because I bet you didn’t know that tortoises like skritches on their shells.

Here’s A BUNCH OF TV News

Apparently, the President of the United States making a disgusting and callous statement about the horrific murder of a beloved director and actor is a bridge too far for a lot of people (even people who had no problem with him being a racist, misogynistic, ableist, veteran-hating con artist piece of shit). CNN’s Scott Jennings didn’t try to defend it; conservative actor James Woods called President ShitKnuckles’ comments “infuriating and distasteful”; wrestler Mick Foley severed his ties with WWE for their relationship with the embarrassment in the Oval Office; Stephen Smith said, “The President choosing to comment on their passing in a disrespectful, acerbic, and disgusting manner is beneath the office of the presidency,”; and even MAGAites on Truth Social called him out for it.

Less surprisingly, all of Hollywood was also furious with President Rotting Hand.

DJT’s post on the death of Rob and Michelle Reiner isn’t beneath the dignity of the Presidency. It’s beneath the dignity of a dogcatcher.

— Harry Shearer (@harryshearer.bsky.social) December 15, 2025 at 3:10 PM

And more remembrances came in:

“I loved Rob. He was brilliant and kind, a man who made films of every genre to challenge himself as an artist. He also fought courageously for his political beliefs. He changed the course of my life. Michelle was a gifted photographer. She shot my beautiful photos for the Misery campaign. My heart breaks for them both. My thoughts are with their family.” –Katy Bates

You can find many more tributes here, here, here, and here.

Late Night lambasted President Monster for his disgusting comments and paid tribute to Reiner.

Seth Meyers remembered Reiner in a seven-minute tribute and touched on President Dementia’s comments:

“I feared this was something he was going to do, and I was pretty certain that it would cast a shadow on what was already a really dark day, but it was even worse than I could imagine. The president made it about himself because he’s incapable of making it about anything else.”

“Insulting someone who’s just been murdered, who leaves children behind, without having any idea of what actually happened — it’s so hateful and vile. When I first saw it, I thought it was fake. My wife showed it to me this morning. I was like, ‘Even for him, that seemed like too much.’ But nothing is ever too much for him.” — Jimmy Kimmel

“He was one of the smartest and funniest people I’ve ever met. What a tremendous loss, and he leaves behind such a legacy. Thank you for all of the great work, on and off screen, and continuing to be an inspiration to me and millions of people around the world.” –Jimmy Fallon

TV Insider assesses network shows’ renewal and cancellation chances, and things don’t look great for Brilliant Minds, St. Denis Medical, NCIS: Sydney, or Watson, but everyone else seems pretty safe.

Here are all the Stephen King easter eggs hidden in IT: Welcome to Derry.

SHOCKING: Simon Cowell and Ryan Seacrest aren’t BFFs.

And in other inane Ryan Seacrest news: His hometown is renaming its football stadium after him. So, an aside: the reason my posting here was erratic over the last couple of weeks is that my husband had to travel to Europe for work, and I tagged along. Hard life, I know. And I saw TWO (and a half) celebrities: George R.R. Martin in London, with whom I spoke, and Ryan Seacrest in Paris, with whom I did not. (The half celebrity was the French teen not-detective from this iconic photo of the Louvre heist, whom, interestingly enough, we saw in London.) And Ryan Seacrest? Not nearly as short as I was expecting! Just normal short!

Did “Weekend Update” use AI this weekend? SNL isn’t talking.

More than 90% of all streaming shows are created by white folks and this is my shocked face.

President Biff is suing the BBC for their editing. The BBC swears they aren’t going to settle. Stand strong.

#MeToo

I don’t know, but maybe discussing the state of your penis with your coworkers in a work environment is not OK?

The new CBS is reopening their investigation into David Del Rio following his cast mate’s allegations that he sexually assaulted her.

The British police have closed their investigation into whether or not Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor used the British press to smear Virginia Giuffre, so I’m sure there was nothing there, right?

Do not slip your coworkers the tongue when you are in a kissing scene together, unless that has been cleared by everyone involved. How is this so hard to understand?

Judi Dench being a Harvey Weinstein and Kevin Spacey apologist was an unwelcome 2025 plot point.
Vanderpump Villa cast member Marciano Brunette is suing The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives cast member Demi Engemann and The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives producer Jeff Jenkins, for defamation after she claimed on the show that he sexually assaulted her.
New Yorkers have paid some $21 million in legal fees to defend Andrew Cuomo against sexual harassment allegations and, I dunno, Andy, but maybe this is why they voted for Mamdani?

Kristen Stewart makes a very interesting point about why it’s only men who do method acting.

If you or someone you know has experienced sexual assault, you can call the National Sexual Assault Hotline at 1-800-656-HOPE (4673), which routes the caller to their nearest sexual assault service provider. You can also search for your local center here
