Here’s A BUNCH OF TV News
This is a completely bonkers story: some 15 years ago, a bunch of stars recorded a New Testament audiobook called The Truth and Life Dramatized Audio Bible. The stars included: Kristen Bell (Mary Magdalene), Sean Astin (Matthew), Neal McDonough (Jesus), Brian Cox (Voice of God), Malcolm McDowell (Caiaphas), John Rhys-Davies (narrator), Julia Ormond (Mary, Mother of God), and Ainsley Earhardt as the narrator. The 23-hour audiobook has now been repackaged as a four-part podcast at Fox News Audio, and renamed The Life of Jesus Podcast.
Fox News claims: “Gulfstream Studios produced the Life of Jesus Podcast from The Truth and Life Dramatized Audio Bible, which was licensed by Fox News Audio, with full cooperation and participation by all the actors involved.” EXCEPT, Brian Cox, Malcolm McDowell, and Kristen Bell are saying they only learned that Fox News was distributing this the day before or even after the announcement was made. WHOOPS.
Pluribus is Apple TV+’s most-viewed new series. Are you watching? Because it’s pretty great.
George R.R. Martin just threatened us with so many more Game of Thrones projects in the works, guys. Too many? Too many. Nobody asked for this many.
The Tonight Show is going to be leaning all in on Stranger Things for the next month.
A Muppets/Knives Out crossover might be just what we need to heal us.
Hey, Warner Bros.: No one tunes in to HGTV to watch Elf.
The bidding for Warner Bros. has begun.
I mean, what even is a miniseries?
Andy Richter has some thoughts on President Can’t Take a Fucking Joke: “You ignore it. If somebody’s making fun of you, ignore them. But it shows the profound insecurity, weakness, childishness, and also lack of content that this administration has. That they have to take so seriously and use the wheels of government to crush joke makers. It is just so indicative of, I wanna say small dick,” Richter quips, “but just weak, weak, weak, weak people. Weak, uncreative, not real bright people.”
Patton Oswalt thinks the reason President Filet-O-Fish doesn’t come after South Park is that it has such high ratings. Personally, I think it’s because he’s never seen South Park.
Jimmy Kimmel last night: “Mr. President, I admire your tenacity. If you’re watching tonight, which I presume you are, how about this: I’ll go when you go, OK? We’ll be a team. Let’s ride off into the sunset together like Butch Cassidy and the Suntan Kid. And until then, if I may borrow a phrase from you: Quiet, piggy.”

“At least he said it to your face” is quite the defense.
To be honest, announcing there is alien life out there would be a good distraction.
