Turns out Lorne Michaels isn’t leaving ‘Saturday Night Live’ anytime soon. Sorry, Tina Fey.

If I were a cat:

Here’s A BUNCH OF TV News

(Sorry for the lateness of this post — I’ve been dealing with gremlins all day.)

Lorne Michaels isn’t leaving Saturday Night Live after this season after all: “And so as long as it’s important and I can be useful, I’ll stay.”

As for what we can expect from the election on SNL this season, Lorne is looking forward to five or six episodes that will allow folks to come back:

I think there’s two things happening at the same time at SNL: an election — and I’m tired of everybody telling us it’s the most consequential one in history because there’ve been a lot of big elections — and the 50th anniversary. And I want to celebrate this season with people coming back who’ve been part of the show and who love the show — not so much as hosts but just making appearances, and so the election is a chance for that because that’s five or six shows. So, Maya and some others coming back for the election will be fun for everybody. And, at the same time, there will be new people emerging, a different generation.

Can you even IMAGINE Monica and Rachel’s apartment not being across the hall from Chandler and Joey’s?

Julianna Margulies and George Clooney apparently still refer to each other as Carol and Doug and the 90s me might have just swooned a little.

Speaking of, happy 30th, ER!

Dead Boy Detectives and Obliterated were the most-watched canceled series on Netflix.

The cast of Veep will get together on the 29th for a table read of the third season episode, “Crate” to raise money for the Wisconsin Democrats. You can reserve a spot here.

Recent Emmy winner Liza Colón-Zayas will appear at Tim Walz’ Saturday rally in Allentown, PA.

In a shocking turn of events, the FCC has declined to revoke ABC’s license just because Former President Overgrown Toddler was mad that he lost the debate.

Former Survivor contestant John Raymond is currently on trial in Louisiana for child cruelty after he allegedly abused students at the Christian school he runs.

I really wish Eric Idle and John Cleese would stop fighting. It’s bumming me out.

  1. Sorry Tina Fey? She wouldn’t be any better than Jean Doumanian anyway!
Lorne Michaels (and SNL) needs to die at this point!
