The Chicano Squad: This documentary takes a look back at the formation of a pioneering homicide unit within the Houston Police Department back in 1979, when officer Jim Montero created an all-Latino detective unit to investigate unsolved homicides in the underserved Latino neighborhoods. 8 p.m., A&E

The Bachelorette: Jenn makes her decision and then we have to talk about it for another hour. Season finale. 7 p.m., ABC

Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist: Kevin Hart, Don Cheadle, and Taraji P. Henson star in this dramatization of one of the most brazen heists in Atlanta’s history. Series premiere. Peacock

Sunday Night Football: Ravens at Chiefs as the season officially begins. 6 p.m., NBC

The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives: A group of Mormon influencers’ lives implode when they are caught in a swinging scandal in this new docuseries. Series premiere. Hulu

The Boy and the Heron: Hayao Miyazaki’s new masterpiece follows a young boy who ventures into the world between the living and the dead following the passing of his mother. Premiere. Max

Wise Guy: David Chase and The Sopranos: Filmmaker Alex Gibney delves into David Chase’s life and psyche 25 years after the premiere of his creation, the greatest TV show of all time. Premiere. 7 p.m., HBO

21 Jump Street & 22 Jump Street: I have to admit, I was skeptical of these movies when they came out, but they — especially the first one — are perfect little comedies. 6 p.m., Vice

Doctor Sleep: I gave up on this film 20 minutes into starting it, but I didn’t have the relationship to Mike Flanagan back then the way I do now, so I suppose I should give it another shot?  9 p.m., Showtime Extreme

SUNDAY

Universal Basic Guys: When their town instigates a pilot universal basic income program, brothers Mark and Hank come up with dumb ideas to fill their time in this new animated series. 7 p.m., Fox
