It’s the best of TV times, it’s the mid-est of TV times

Here’s A BUNCH OF TV News

As for mid TV: there are plenty of good, serviceable shows out there, including the ones Poniewozik explicitly points out: Mr. and Mrs. Smith, Poker Face, Apples Never Fall, Masters of the Air, Feud: Capote vs. the Swan — all of which I’ve watched, and all of which were fine! They were fine. But the groundbreaking, memorable, you-can’t-shake-it series, they are fewer and far between, especially in the wake of the shutdowns caused by the strikes. For the season that we are currently in, Shōgun, The Curse, and Baby Reindeer are the only ones that immediately come to mind. And so, I’m curious to hear which shows you think have broken through the “mid” categorization so far this season.

Leaving quality behind, in terms of sheer numbers, CBS remains undefeated.

“Mel Brooks and Quinta Brunson will receive the Peabody Career Achievement Award and the Peabody Trailblazer Award.” AND DESERVEDLY SO.

Yellowstone cast members are out here making big claims. “I’ll take ‘Comments That Will Come Back to Bite Us In The Ass’ for 500, Ken.”

Hey, Bluey families: there’s an episode you haven’t seen over on YouTube.

I need David Cross and Bob Odenkirk to take this show concept that Paramount+ killed over to Apple TV+ right this instant, please and thank you.

Speaking of co-stars and friends, I can’t tell you how shocked to learn that Timothy Olyphant and Walton Goggins were on the outs by the time Justified ended. They’re friends again, so it’s all good. But still!

Kermit the Frog: style icon; Piers Morgan: borderline slob.

Sounds like Rob Marciano got himself fired from ABC News for being a screamer.

Using A.I. to fabricate photographs of a documentary subject is one of the most unethical things I’ve heard a documentarian do. And it’s not worse that it’s a true crime docuseries, but IT ALSO IS.

Well, well, well, looks like someone is learning their lesson. Who wrote this article, David Dennison?

Get healed up soon, Harry Jowsey, and wear your sunscreen, especially when you’re on a sexytimes Netflix dating series that involves you being half-naked the entire time.

Get well soon, Zach Roloff.

Hoping Bret Baier’s son gets better soon.

  1. “Will Trent” continues to be an enjoyable watch. It’s nothing groundbreaking, but I’m invested in the characters and the actors are all good.
