Jerry Seinfeld has clearly never seen ‘It’s Always Sunny’ … or ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’

Here’s A BUNCH OF TV News

The Television Academy awarded seven series its 17th Television Academy Honors:

  • Beef
  • Heartstopper
  • A Small Light
  • 1000% Me: Growing Up Mixed
  • The 1619 Project
  • Deadlocked: How America Shaped the Supreme Court
  • Lakota Nation vs. United States

Jerry Seinfeld blames the lack of comedies on television on “the extreme left:” “Where is it? Where is it? This is the result of the extreme left and P.C. crap and people worrying so much about offending other people,” he said.

OK, but has he not heard of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Rick & Morty, anything Danny McBride has made, or Curb Your Enthusiasm — WHICH HE WAS ON? Granted, none of those are on network television, but I would argue that network comedies have been replaced with more procedurals as network audiences have become increasingly older and comedies just don’t play as well with them. That doesn’t mean comedies — edgy comedies even — don’t exist, they just exist on cable and streaming.

Folks really liked that Ryan Gosling Saturday Night Live episode.

A plea to bring back the 22-23 episode television season. (But don’t count on it happening: leaving aside the fact that this was a model based on network television schedules — which is no longer the dominant model — it’s much cheaper for the studios to make 10-episode seasons. Why would they change anything?)

Oh hey: it’s a happy ending to that story about Maulik Pancholy being disinvited to speak to middle school students. After being publicly shamed as a bunch of bigots, the school board reversed their decision.

Just imagine being the documentarian who captured psychopath Robert Durst accidentally confessing to multiple murders, and then he goes on the run. You’d be terrified, too.

Former General Hospital actress Haley Pullos was sentenced to three months in prison after she pleaded no contest in a DUI case.

When Fox News turns on you, and you’re in the GOP? You’re fucked. Maybe you should have rehomed that puppy, you monster.

Harvey Weinstein’s 2020 rape conviction in New York State has been tossed by an appeals court, finding that testimony from three women about “uncharged, alleged prior sexual acts” created bias.

Emilio Garcia, a personal cameraman for Megan Thee Stallion, has sued the rapper for creating a hostile work environment by underpaying and overworking him, forcing him to watch her have sex with other women, and bullying him.

Bre Tiesi of Selling Sunset has been sued by multiple employees for harassment, discrimination, and threats of violence.

Gerard Depardieu will stand trial in October on charges of sexual assault by two women.

An Australian actor improbably named Orpheus Pledger was arrested after he failed to appear in court on an assault charge after he attacked a woman.

Brooke Baldwin has opened up about leaving CNN after being sidelined by Jeff Zucker when her relationship with her male producer soured.

Lisa Vanderpump has Andy Cohen’s back despite calling him “inappropriately naughty.”

  1. So the rich, entitled, 70-year-old white man that pursued a relationship with a 17-year-old child when he was 40 is blaming the left on the lack of sitcoms? Okay. Ugh, can all these stupid old men just eat shit and die already?
