Here’s A BUNCH OF TV News

Reminder: Former President Dipshit is going to be arrested later today. For the third time. You love to see it.

When Warner Bros. Discovery rebranded HBO Max to just Max, they lost nearly two million subscribers overall. Now, that might sound bad, but I actually was one of those subscribers, as I canceled my Discovery+ subscription because it became duplicative. So, it sounds bad, but it might not be as bad as it actually sounds.

That said, leave it to David Zaslav to brag that Warner Bros. Discovery has saved $100 million because of the strikes. This goes a long way towards explaining why the WGA is telling its members to not get their hopes up about tomorrow’s negotiations with the AMPTP.

One more thing we learned about Max: sports and news should be added soon. BRING BACK STANLEY TUCCI: SEARCHING FOR ITALY, YOU MONSTERS.

Conleth Hill, who played the wonderful — until he wasn’t — Varys on Game of Thrones was “inconsolable” over the rushed nature of the final two seasons.

“Right up until the last two series, I had no complaints at all. I just felt frustrated with the last couple of series because Varys wasn’t the all-knowing character he had been.”

Hill thinks the writers, including co-showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, “wanted to do one thing to end it and the studio HBO wanted to do another. I felt that last series was a bit rushed. I was inconsolable, but now I’m fine about it.”

I feel this deep in my bones except for the “now I’m fine about it” part.

Leah Remini is suing the Church of Scientology for “civil harassment, stalking, defamation, intentional infliction of emotional distress and intentional interference with prospective economic advantage.” GET ‘EM, GIRL.

Teresa Giudice’s beef with Sofia Vergara is simultaneously kinda hilarious and very racist.

Nick Thompson of season two of Love is Blind says he’s about to become homeless and it’s all Netflix’s fault.

A thing I only just now learned despite having recapped 7 seasons of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon is an original creation to the show, and never appeared in the comic books. I’m sure that’s common knowledge, so spare me the blah blah blah, I just thought it was interesting.

Big fan of The Office? Then you might want to bid on this opportunity to have dinner with Steve Carrell, Rainn Wilson, and Angela Kinsey. Proceeds go to Lide Haiti, an organization that helps girls in Haiti receive an education.

GLAAD is proud of Gabby Windey coming out and encourages reality shows to cast more LGBTQ folks. Hard agree.

A former Fox News reporter has been ordered by a judge to reveal an anonymous source in an invasion of privacy lawsuit brought against Fox News by a Chinese-American scientist. Now, I don’t often defend Fox News over here, as y’all well know, but based on the very little I know about this case, it sure seems like it is a bad, First Amendment-violating decision. But then again, I’m not a lawyer, so …
