Well, well, well. Look who decided that Leslie Jones live-tweeting the Olympics is actually to their benefit and trying to crack down on her doing so was a bad look: “This was the result of a third-party error, and the situation has been resolved. The Oscar nominees were announced this morning. Here’s where you can watch and/or stream the Best Picture nominees. I’m going to be completely honest with you: I have seen exactly TWO films that were nominated, and neither of them were nominated for Best Picture or in any of the acting or directing categories. There’s a stand-up comedian Netflix controversy that has nothing to do with Dave Chappelle, but it is a good illustration of how the First Amendment works. (And how cancel culture isn’t really a thing in a capitalist society — it’s just a marketplace of ideas and no one is obligated to buy your bullshit — but I digress.)
