I am not the target audience for the Saved by the Bell reboot: I was too old for the series during its original run and I’m not 10 years old now. That said, the news that the showrunner for the reboot has brought into the writers’ room Dashiell Driscoll, the executive producer of Funny or Die’s “Zack Morris is Trash” series, I have to admit, it gives me pause. Because Zack Morris IS trash! And writing the reboot to acknowledge that fact, it’s a terrific idea. OWN ZACK MORRIS’S TRASHNESS.
Sounds like there’s nothing left standing in the way of a 6th season of Lucifer on Netflix now that star Tom Ellis has signed a new contract. Just announce it already, Netflix!
Robert Durst’s trial began yesterday. Fingers crossed they get the psychopath this time. HE PEED ON THE CANDY AT MY CVS, YOU GUYS. WHAT KIND OF MONSTER DOES THAT?
Speaking of trials — here’s a piece about Court TV and whether or not the reboot of the network can ride this true-crime wave.
People were apparently pissed that Nik Wallenda was harnassed during his volcano walk last night. Yeah, see, the thing is, there are these people called “lawyers” and ABC hires a lot of them …
Congratulations to Supergirl‘s Melissa Benoit and Chris Wood.
