Tonight’s episode of American Horror Story will supposedly reset the season, and Ryan Murphy keeps blabbing about it. Apparently Lady Gaga’s character on this season is the original Supreme, Taissa Farmiga and Finn Wittrock are both returning sometime this season, Wittrock supposedly playing “his most fucked up character of all time,” and episode six is one of “the most hilarious” things Evan Peters has ever done. That’s a lot of big talk, Ryan Murphy — it better live up to all the hype, Ryan Murphy.
There are HUGE Game of Thrones‘ spoilers suggesting that some major characters will be meeting for the first time — and one character we haven’t seen in a long while might be in attendance.
John Cleese recapping the past 6 seasons of The Walking Dead is the most charming recap of I you’ll ever encounter. I want John Cleese to recap everything in my life from here on out.
Missing Fear of the Walking Dead yet? Yeah, me neither. In any event, they are doing another of those web series, this time seemingly set in the camp that Nick saw from Tijuana. It’s called Fear the Walking Dead: Passage, and the first part will be broadcast during The Walking Dead premiere. Or you can watch it right here:
American Crime Story has already been renewed for a third season, and will cover the Gianni Versace murder.
Hey, remember how that scene in Stranger Things when Eleven sees dead Barb made you really hungry for French Onion Soup? OF COURSE YOU DON’T BECAUSE THAT’S NOT A THING, NETFLIX.
Apparently, someone left Chicago Fire on last night’s episode. If you’re interested, here’s what the creators have to say about it.
Jennifer Lopez sold a “futuristic bio-terror drama” to NBC called, improbably, C.R.I.S.P.R., which stands for “clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats.” Great title. Very catchy.
But wait, there’s more! The description: “a procedural thriller set five minutes into the future that explores the next generation of terror: DNA hacking. If the project moves forward, each episode will explore a bio-attack and crime — from a genetic assassination attempt on the president to the framing of an unborn child for murder. The drama will see mentor and protégé battle for control over the human genome in a game of cat and mouse in which the future of our species may rest and all disease could one day be eradicated.”
“…framing of an unborn child for murder.”
In other development:
- ABC is developing Equity, based on the film of the same name about a cut throat female Wall Street banker.
- Netflix is working on a racially charged drama from the creator of The Killing, because what we need is a dreary, soul-draining take on race.
- Comedy Central picked up The High Court, a pot comedy from Doug Benson. Get it? HIGH Court? Yep.
- Fox is adapting Benidorm, a British comedy about a family who takes a vacation they can’t afford, and are calling it The Big Package.
- Darren Aronofsky’s Margaret Atwood series, MaddAddam, will not be moving forward on HBO, but he’s looking for another home for it. Interestingly, it was written by Eliza Clark who just happens to be Joss Whedon’s sister-in-law.
