This is how I lose a hand:
@texaswildlifepark Thank you for your service, Banshee. Thank you for always taking care of us.
Here’s A BUNCH OF TV News
Ousted 60 Minutes correspondents Scott Pelley and Sharyn Alfonsi are becoming journalists in residence at Columbia University. Meanwhile, former 60 executive producer Bill Owens is raising money to create a news program, possibly with some former 60 Minutes journalists, to sell to a streaming service. Yes. Do this. This is the way.
Meanwhile, one of the journalists who has recently joined 60 Minutes, Trevor Phillips, says of Bari Weiss: “The great thing about her is that she’s one of those people who will either change the world or crash and burn. But when they crash and burn, it’s in technicolor.” Godspeed, Bari.
The ransom notes in Nancy Guthrie’s kidnapping have been released by the Pima County Sheriff’s Department in the hopes that someone recognizes the writer’s syntax.
This poor news anchor fell asleep on camera, but save some pity for her; she has a newborn at home.

The Saturday Night Live ticket lottery is open again! Here’s how you can put your name in the ring.
These are 17 celebrities who have never hosted Saturday Night Live, and some of them are wild.
Give Mayor Jo her own show, you cowards.
Max Greenfield is teasing that he’s seen New Girl reunion scripts (but I’m not sure you can believe him).
Oh no, are Jennie Garth and Tori Spelling not friends anymore? And it’s because Tori is being a weirdo?
Look, no one is doing great in the cable news business, but I’m just happy to hear that Fox News is losing viewers year-over-year. That is only good news for all of us.
Ariana Grande is “taking a step back from visibility” in the wake of public scrutiny of her appearance. We are hoping she is healthy.
Joe Rogan is everything wrong with Texas right now, and I hope he gets busted for violating this new THC law his beloved Republican lawmakers have instituted. Genuinely. Fuck this guy.
LOL, Gianni Infantino is in trouble.
Warner Bros. is about to fumble a Barbie sequel (and I think that’d be just fine, honestly).
I hope Snooki heals quickly, and this is your reminder to get your HPV vaccine (or get it for your children).
Speaking of vaccines … President Biden gave Dr. Fauci a blanket pardon back in 2025 because he knew full well that Republicans would come after him the moment they had power. Fast-forward to last week where, in an attempt to distract from the abysmal economy, the war with Iran, the failure to release the Epstein files, the blatant corruption, and the reflecting pool idiocy, the Republicans held a dumb show hearing, dragging Fauci in front of them so that they could try to get him to perjure himself and therefore have a reason to try to prosecute him. Fauci refused to play along, and pled the Fifth to every question asked. So they used that as “evidence” that Fauci was corrupt or lying or evil or whatever nonsense they think their base will gobble up. It was infuriating.
So then, yesterday, that weirdo Robert F. Kennedy Jr. went on CNN’s State of the Union and screamed a bunch of nonsense at Dana Bash, nonsense that included blatant lies about the pandemic, Dr. Fauci, and the vaccines, including that the ICUs were empty and that Dr. Fauci ordered the shutdowns.

CNN released a statement to Entertainment Weekly, defending Bash:
“Dana Bash is a veteran journalist who conducted a newsmaking interview with Secretary Kennedy in which he stated that he supports parents getting their children vaccinated against measles and addressed President Trump’s push for further study into autism and vaccines.
“Asking tough, substantive questions to those in power is the job of every journalist, and Dana did hers incredibly well today. We stand behind Dana, her reporting, and CNN’s overall coverage of the COVID-19 pandemic.”
The 2027 Met Gala will celebrate controversial designer John Galliano, who was fired from Christian Dior after having made racist, antisemitic, and anti-Asian remarks that led to him being convicted of a hate crime in Paris. Apparently, Anna Wintour (who is in charge of the Met Gala) and Andrew Bolton, curator in charge of the Met’s Costume Institute, have been meeting with Jewish leaders for the past year, seeking their blessing for the event. Enjoy this 2011 Conan clip that helps shed light on the situation (via Vulture):

She’s nowhere as big a celebrity as the 17 listed, but I would love to see Madeleine Sami host SNL.
