Speaking of American Horror Story, Jessica Lange reportedly HATED one of the show’s most iconic lines and refused to film it more than one time.

The only thing I need less than a new Glee is a new Heroes. 

Broadway audiences love them some TV stars.

Taylor Tomlinson details the difficult conversations she had with CBS and Stephen Colbert about leaving After Midnight. CBS doesn’t come off well here.

The New York Times has ranked the 100 greatest TV shows of this century (so far), and they had the same problem I did when I did something similar for the Chronicle many years ago: The Sopranos came out in 1999, making it technically a 20th-century series, though it might be (is) the most influential show of this century.

A court has thrown out President Assy’s lawsuit against the Des Moines Register and pollster Ann Selzer, noting that it violated the First Amendment. Which, yeah, obviously, what took so long?

And as of right now, the press has access to the White House. But they didn’t have access last night for the state dinner for Chinese President Xi Jinping, so check back in a few hours.

The Supreme Court just ruled today that the federal government can run the states’ voter rolls through a system that supposedly finds “non-citizens” but which has a history of mistakenly flagging citizens as noncitizens. According to The Washington Post, the system has an error rate as high as 81% in some localities. COOL. There’s some question about whether or not this could impact the election: federal law prohibits states from “systematically” removing voters from the rolls within 90 days of a federal election. That, of course, doesn’t mean the White House believes that applies to them.

You know where this is going: double, triple, quadruple-check that you are still registered to vote (here in Texas you have until October 5, which is coming quickly), and make a plan to vote, preferably early and in person. And don’t let the bastards get you down.
