Here’s A BUNCH OF TV News

Unsuprisingly, a federal judge ruled last night that the White House has to give MS Now, CNN, and Politico their press access back, granting a temporary restraining order to the media outlets. Also, unsurprisingly, the White House continued to deny them access this morning. The outlets requested an emergency hearing to address the White House’s non-compliance, which should happen this afternoon — though between the time I wrote that and now, the White House has slowly begun allowing the reporters access again.

As for the Paramount/Warner Bros. merger: not so fast, David Ellison. Yesterday, a coalition of groups called Block the Merger asked the courts to give them time to formally oppose the settlement deal set by Paramount and the states, and a judge just granted their request. Now, this is unlikely to ultimately stop the merger, but it’s certainly a thorn in Paramount’s side, potentially an expensive one, as those $7 million-a-day ticking fees Paramount will have to pay Warner Bros. shareholders start in exactly one week. Stay tuned. And also, lol.

As for other Ryan Murphy projects, he continues to threaten us with more Glee. He’s even written a new script. OK BUT NO ONE ASKED FOR THIS, RYAN MURPHY.

Oh, but wait! He’s also threatening us with more Scream Queens! NO ONE REALLY ASKED FOR THIS, RYAN MURPHY.

Judge Judy reveals her lie detection tricks and it has something to do with drunk driving and dyslexia? Unclear.
