’60 Minutes’ is indeed being turned into a politically biased lie machine

Here’s A BUNCH OF TV News

Cecilia Vega has opened up about her firing from 60 Minutes and how she was asked to lie and make shit up by … well, I think we all know who:

Discussing her coverage following the fatal shootings of Renee Good and Alex Pretti in Minnesota, Vega said she was encouraged to include video of protesters assaulting people they believed were undercover ICE agents. According to Vega, her team searched for evidence but found “no credible examples” of such incidents.

She also said producers were asked to include what was described as a moment during a press conference in which Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey called on local police to physically confront federal immigration agents and the city’s police chief reacted by rolling his eyes. After reviewing the footage, Vega said her team concluded the incident never occurred.

“That never happened,” Vega said. “We could not find any instance of the mayor saying something like that.”

Vega also recalled being asked to open a report on President Donald Trump’s war with Iran by declaring, “Who is winning the war? Iran is totally outgunned by the United States and Israel.” She said she viewed the wording as an “administration talking point.”

In another example, Vega said she intentionally focused a story about SNAP benefit cuts in West Virginia on residents affected by the policy, only to be questioned about why she had not interviewed Vice President JD Vance or referenced his memoir Hillbilly Elegy, despite the book centering on his upbringing in Ohio rather than West Virginia.

The FCC is about to remove the ownership cap on the number of local stations a company can own, so that’s great.

Oh look at that: the Department of Justice has withdrawn the subpoenas they dropped on The New York Times journalists who reported on President CorruptionPants’ Qatar plane not being ready for prime time. HUH. WEIRD.

You know what, President Bloat? Bill O’Reilly is making an excellent suggestion here. In fact, you should just make it an indefinite vacation. You know, for your health.

What? You’re telling me that Joshua Jackson and Katie Holmes weren’t actually dating and it was all just a publicity stunt for this series of movies they’re making and in reality they’re dating other people but the paparazzi acted as though they were a real couple because they’re suckers or they think we’re suckers? I’M SHOCKED.

Oprah looks back on The Mistake she made on her talk show. According to her, the mistake wasn’t promoting “The Secret” and its pseudo-religious crap; no, it wasn’t unleashing Dr. Phil on us; no, not Dr. Oz, either; no, it wasn’t bringing Jenny McCarthy on the show to promote her anti-vax nonsense that helped lead us to this hellscape …

Proving once again that Weird Al Yankovich is just a good person.

Can we give Colman Domingo his own late-night show?

LOL, Elon has sold fewer Cybertrucks in three years than Ford sold Edsons in one.
