Here’s A BUNCH OF TV News
Could the split of Comcast and NBCUniversal be the precursor to some new merger? Maybe!
Henry Schuster, another 60 Minutes producer, has quit.
The U.K. may intervene in the Paramount merger with Warner Bros. Discovery, concerned about the “plurality of views in news media.” HUH. GLAD SOMEONE CARES.
Taylor Frankie Paul posted (and then deleted) a message on Instagram that read, “Cops called on me again THIS WEEK… what are the odds? And it’s not people… it’s ONE person, the same person. It’s obsessive.” The implication here being that it was her ex, Dakota Mortensen who called. TMZ had reported last week that ABC was going to broadcast The Bachelorette in July, but it sounds like Paul is trying to suggest that Mortensen is trying to sabotage the odds of that happening. It should be noted that ABC has made no official announcements regarding the show’s future. It must be a difficult decision for ABC/Disney: on the one hand, this season of The Bachelorette ties directly into the next season of the successful Secret Lives of Mormon Wives; but on the other hand, this is a volatile domestic abuse situation that does not appear to have settled.
You’ll soon be able to add Starz to your Peacock subscription.
Famously cantankerous Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan is being cantankerous.
Netflix is using an AI-generated version of Gene Wilder’s voice in their upcoming Wonka-based reality competition, The Golden Ticket. They have the consent of the Wilder estate (but it’s still gross).
Are the “tons of people” on the lawn with us right now, Dr. Oz?
TMZ DC with perhaps the most brutal video from Trump’s Great American State Fair, showing Dr. Oz on stage bragging to Dean Cain about how big the crowd is, only for the reporter to pan around and show absolutely nobody is there.

Get better soon, Kathie Lee Gifford.
#MeToo
Phil Mickelson was allegedly gross towards the wife of fellow golfer Pat Perez.
Kevin Spacey continues to try to make a comeback, too.
The BBC is investigating five employees for sexual harassment.
There is some messiness going on between Tom Sandoval and his ex-girlfriend, Victoria Lee Robinson, and her father, J. Will Robinson. Sandoval requested a restraining order against Robinson in early June, after she was arrested for “intimate-partner battery with physical violence.” Sandoval claims that Robinson’s father “lunged” at him drunkenly in the same altercation. However, TMZ released a video of the incident, which seems to show Sandoval aggressively approaching Victoria, after which Will Robinson gets up to try to pull Sandoval off of her, only to have Sandoval shove the older man into a lit fire pit. Robinson claims he was the one to call the police following the event. Meanwhile, Sandoval is claiming that the video in question follows months of verbal abuse from both Robinsons.
That gross UFC fighter who said Michelle Obama is a man at the stupid fight on the White House lawn is now saying he meant it as a compliment: “Michelle Obama being a man. It’s like, she knows how to deal with adversity. She knows how to work hard like a man when the times get tough.” So either this asshole is misgendering the former First Lady, or he’s insulting women everywhere.

If you or someone you know has experienced sexual assault, you can call the National Sexual Assault Hotline at 1-800-656-HOPE (4673), which routes the caller to their nearest sexual assault service provider. You can also search for your local center here.
