Here’s A BUNCH OF TV News

They took his name off the Kennedy Center, though he’s had the entire name covered with a tarp so that no one can see his shame. Stupid pissy little baby.

The Department of Justice has given the OK for Paramount to buy Warner Bros. Discovery, obviously. The DOJ claims that the merger will “not likely to result in harm to competition or American consumers.” I mean, aside from literally eliminating competition, sure. (And just days ahead of the Idiocracy-coded UFC event on the White House lawn that was available on pay-per-view on Paramount+ because they don’t even hide the corruption anymore.)

Jane Fonda is not happy about the Paramount/Warner Bros. merger.

Warner Bros. Discovery’s shareholders did not think David Zaslav’s exorbitant pay package was cool (though the vote was non-binding, so the board may not care what the shareholders have to say about it).

Speaking of mergers: Fox is buying Roku for $22 billion. What was that about competition?

This administration’s attack on DEI is working exactly as intended.

Tyra Banks is suing Netflix over the documentary, Reality Check: Inside America’s Next Top Model. She claims her interviews were manipulated and selectively edited, which, ironically enough, is exactly what the contestants on the show allege she did on ANTM.

In a phone interview with EW, [Angela] Preston, who attempted to sue ANTM in 2014 for $3 million (the suit was later dropped), references the “surgical manipulation” and “selective editing” portion of the legal complaint in a message to Banks: “Now you know how we feel. It’s kind of like a taste of your own medicine, in a way.”

Another 60 Minutes producer, Michael Gavshon, is leaving the show out of frustration with Bari Weiss’ leadership.

Things are so chaotic over there that, reportedly, Nick Bilton, the new head of 60 Minutes, tried to rehire one of the producers Weiss fired last month. Former employees are not impressed: “We have to acknowledge that ‘60 Minutes’ needed a bit of a facelift, and there were potentially positive ways to improve the program, but it’s the way they have gone about it,” a former “60 Minutes” staffer says. “You don’t give a facelift with a fucking machete.”

And Scott Galloway claims he was offered an Andy Rooney-like segment on the show but declined it: “… the last fucking thing I want to do is wake up to social media after they hear that I’m having anything to do with this ssht-show right now.”

The New York Knicks are taking over The Tonight Show tonight, following their historic win. Look, I have a soft spot in my heart for the San Antonio Spurs, but this was clearly the Knicks’ year.

If you want the public — or anyone — to know you are a fan of Love Island, I’ve got some news for you.

Wanda Sykes turned down a spot on the Kevin Hart Roast and is deeply relieved she wasn’t a part of that racist, sexist mess.

Helen Mirren is not mad at Tom Hardy, you guys. No, seriously.

I need Spencer Pratt to go away already.

Fans willed this into existence, and I’m here for it. Good job, shippers!

I’m pretty sure I’ve seen Mark-Paul Gosselaar’s “six-pack” somewhere before:

Metaphor.

Oh nos and anyways.

Stay healthy, Cheri Oteri! And fuck cancer.

Congratulations, Elizabeth Olsen!
