@avydog “HELP IS ON THE WAY DEAR!”
Here’s A BUNCH OF TV News
The Muppet Show returns on ABC tonight (and is available to stream on Hulu right now) ….

… so here are a bunch of facts about the original series.
For instance, I didn’t know that Miss Piggy was originally named Miss Piggy Lee, which, understandably, was changed so as to not insult singer Peggy Lee. Not that such a comparison should be considered an insult, as Miss Piggy is obviously The Diva.
So far, the reviews have been positive — 100% on Rotten Tomatoes when I just checked. Maybe revive the series on Disney+?
Netflix head Ted Sarandos testified before Congress yesterday, where he promised a 45-day theatrical window for Warner Bros. produced movies, swore that the merger will give customers “more content for less,” and fended off questions about Netflix being “overwhelmingly woke,” all the while trying to not piss off President Short Attention Span. Meanwhile, all of the guilds are still upset about this potential merger, which is understandable. Problem is, Warner Bros. is going to be bought by someone, and a merger is going to happen. It’s just a question of who will be the best buyer.
“You are the worst reporter,” Trump barked in the Oval Office at the CNN’s Chief White House Correspondent and The Source anchor. No wonder CNN has no ratings, because of people like you.”
As various administration officials and other members of the press stood by saying nothing, the former Apprentice host continued: “You know, she’s a young woman. I don’t think I’ve ever seen you smile. I’ve known you for 10 years. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a smile in your face. You know why? You know why you’re not smiling, because you know you’re not telling the truth and you’re you’re a very dishonest organization, and they should be ashamed of you.”
CNN released a statement: “Kaitlan Collins is an exceptional journalist, reporting every day from the White House and the field with real depth and tenacity. She skillfully brings that reporting to the anchor chair and CNN platforms every day, which audiences around the world know they can trust.”
Jimmy Kimmel: “We are now at the ‘women-should-smile-more’ stage of his presidency. I’m trying to think of a worse time to tell a woman to smile more than when that person is a reporter asking about the Epstein victims. I can’t.”
Updates on the Nancy Guthrie story:
Reports of ransom notes are being investigated. TMZ reported that a ransom note demanding Bitcoin had been received by someone, and KOLD, the CBS television affiliate in Tucson, reported that they had received a ransom note.
Savannah Guthrie will not attend the Winter Olympics while the investigation into her mother’s disappearance continues. Mary Carillo will fill in for her.
The Today Show has increased their security.
Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance has rattled Savannah’s colleagues and newspeople everywhere.
Hoping Nancy Guthrie is found safe and sound very soon.
Harrison Ford would be fine with Shrinking being his final role, and there’s something lovely about that.
The Pluribus writers are “plugging away” on season two, but don’t expect a quick turnaround.
Floyd Mayweather is suing Showtime, claiming they aided his manager in keeping hundreds of millions of dollars from him.
Sherri Shepherd has had a rough week.
Good news for Dave Coulier, whose cancer has gone into remission.
The Westminster Dog Show paid tribute to Catherine O’Hara during the Norwich Terrier presentation:
