Say hi, Diego.

Here’s A BUNCH OF TV News
Don Lemon has been arrested for filming an anti-ICE protest that took place inside a St. Paul, MN, church last Sunday. Lemon, who filmed the entire incident, identified himself as a journalist, and did not participate in the protest itself. He was arrested with three other people, including Georgia Fort, another independent journalist who live-streamed the protest.
“Don Lemon was taken into custody by federal agents last night in Los Angeles, where he was covering the Grammy awards,” according to a statement attributed to Lemon’s attorney, Abbe Lowell. “Don has been a journalist for 30 years, and his constitutionally protected work in Minneapolis was no different than what he has always done. The First Amendment exists to protect journalists whose role it is to shine light on the truth and hold those in power accountable. There is no more important time for people like Don to be doing this work.”
It must be noted that the Department of Justice tried to get an arrest warrant for Lemon from a federal magistrate and a federal court of appeals, only to be told by a conservative justice that their petition was “frivolous,” and multiple prosecutors in Minnesota and Los Angeles refused to be involved in bringing charges against him. The DoJ had Lemon arrested anyway.
This is an alarming, set-your-hair-on-fire development, an obvious and blatant violation of Lemon’s First Amendment rights. While churches, as private institutions, are not permissible places to protest, Lemon was well within his rights to cover the protest as a journalist. This is clearly an escalation on the part of the administration which is desperate for a win — or at least a change in the conversation — in the wake of Good and Pretti’s murders (and today’s release of more Epstein documents).
Notably, no one has been arrested in the deaths of Renee Good or Alex Pretti’s murders.

The problem, BRENDAN, is who determines what “fake news” is? YOU? Do you decide? Because yeah, that’s not gonna fly, buddy.
Here are even more celebrities who are speaking out about ICE.
Sydney Sweeney would rather not talk about politics, y’all. (I’m pretty sure you can figure out what that means about her politics.) I should point out that refusing to talk about politics in a moment when our neighbors are being dragged out of their homes and disappeared and journalists are being arrested for expressing their First Amendment rights and bystanders are being shot in the street is a choice being made from a place of privilege. At least be honest in what you believe in one way or another, ma’am.
Idiot famous from idiot show has idiot beliefs.
Speaking of, the fall of Cardi B Nicki Minaj has been a long time coming. (My apologies to the delightful Cardi B. This was a crazy news day, and she was on my mind as the SNL musical guest this weekend.)
Gayle King out here trying to keep her paycheck. — While also telling Spencer Pratt to his douchey face that he’s a “douche canoe” because she can.
All 49 previous seasons of Survivor are now available for free on Pluto.
It doesn’t sound like Erica Kane will be making a cameo on General Hospital anytime soon, boo.
Odessa A’zion, who is the new It Girl, apparently (and nepo baby — mom is Pamela Adlon), has dropped out of the A24 movie, Deep Cuts, after there was outrage over her being cast as a woman who is Jewish and Mexican. A’zion is not Hispanic. A number of Latino actors signed a letter demanding accountability and equity in casting going forward (and acknowledged A’zion as an ally for dropping out of the film).
Kyle and Mauricio still haven’t filed for divorce?! Oh come on already.

This is shattering news. What a wonderful person, artist and collaborator. I was lucky enough to direct, produce and act in projects with her and she was simply growing more brilliant with each year. My heart goes out to Bo & family. #RIPCatherineO’Hara https://t.co/7pWcpYARai

Catherine O’Hara changed how so many of us understand comedy and humanity. From the chaos and heart of Home Alone to the unforgettable precision of Moira Rose in Schitt’s Creek, she created characters we’ll rewatch again and again.

Heartbroken doesn’t even begin to cover it.
