Here’s A BUNCH OF TV News

Netflix is a Joke has set 350 performances between the week of May 4-10, including a Flight of the Conchords reunion (!!!).

Karamo Brown skipped today’s appearance on The Today Show with the rest of the Queer Eye cast, explaining in a statement that he “has felt mentally and emotionally abused for years, and he’s been advised by his therapist to protect himself and his peace by not attending.” OH. The cast was asked about this on air, and they said they support him, but that the show was never about them, but the people they set out to help.

The shift to releasing Fallout week-by-week instead of a binge isn’t working out for Prime Video, apparently. I would argue they also made a mistake by releasing it in December ahead of the holidays, when people are busy and distracted. It’s one thing to release a series all at once over the holidays, when people can binge it on their time off, but to release it 10 days before Christmas while only doling out one episode at a time (and against the finale of Stranger Things) was perhaps an error. Fortunately, Fallout has already been renewed for a third season, but maybe this is your reminder to give season two a chance.

That Ted Danson comedy that you have probably already forgotten, Mr. Mayor, was originally conceived of as a 30 Rock spinoff, pitting Jack Donaghy against City Hall. And while I liked Mr. Mayor well enough, Jack Donaghy as mayor is a MUCH better idea, but Alec Baldwin had to go and ruin everything.

If Kelly Clarkson does end her talk show, could anyone blame her?

Everyone hates a method actor.

The time the Game of Thrones dudes wrote an It’s Always Sunny episode.

I mean, Jon Stewart didn’t say he wouldn’t run for President, right?

Bari Weiss is out of her depth. And that 60 Minutes story was pulled for exactly the reason you thought it was.

Netflix is officially making an all-cash offer for Warner Bros., which means the deal is more certain and could happen faster, possibly by April. Expect heightened shenanigans from David Ellison.

Ever since Brooklyn Beckham married Nicola Peltz, rumors of a split with his parents, David and Victoria Beckahm have been raging in the tabloids, which I’ve watched with quiet bemusement because who knows, you know? But now Brooklyn released a statement putting his parents “on blast” as the kids said about 10 years ago, and just … grab your popcorn.

Love is dead.

Following Timothy Busfield’s arrest for child sex abuse, another accuser stepped forward, claiming he “kissed her and put his hands down her pants and touched her privates,” when she was 16 years old and auditioning for a theater that he was a part of. The accuser’s family says they had agreed to not go to law enforcement after Busfield promised to go to therapy, but were compelled to come forward following the most recent allegations. As for the theater, they released a statement that read in part: “B Street Theatre is aware of a report concerning Timothy Busfield regarding an incident alleged to have occurred at B Street Theatre approximately 25 years ago.”

In response to the arrest, Busfield has been dropped by his agency and edited out of the upcoming Amazon MGM movie, You Deserve Each Other. Meanwhile, his wife, Melissa Gilbert, wrote a letter of support for Busfield, as did 74 others, including director Edward Zwick, and thirtysomething costars, Peter Horton and Ken Olin.

Ink Master‘s Tyler Nolan was arrested for domestic abuse.

Julio Igesias has denied the sexual assault allegations levied against him by previous employees.

It’s remarkable that Grok was allowed to do this in the first place, that no one at Twitter thought users wouldn’t immediately abuse it, and that it took this long to take it down. But that’s our Elon.

Allow Mara Wilson to explain why AI-generated sexualized images, particularly of children, are so disgusting and abusive.

“Generative AI has reinvented stranger danger. And this time, the fear is justified. It is now infinitely easier for any child whose face has been posted on the internet to be sexually exploited. Millions of children could be forced to live my same nightmare.”

The Clintons refused to appear for a deposition in the House’s investigation into the Epstein Files, and wrote a blistering letter explaining their decision. The Clintons insist that this is just harassment, and that they’ve already told the Committee everything they know, information that is also covered by seven of the other eight people who were subpoenaed, none of whom were forced to appear in person. And as Ana Navarro points out, Hilary Clinton’s name doesn’t appear once in the files, but Melania Trump has been photographed multiple times with Jeffrey Epstein himself. Why hasn’t she been subpoenaed?

If you or someone you know has experienced sexual assault, you can call the National Sexual Assault Hotline at 1-800-656-HOPE (4673), which routes the caller to their nearest sexual assault service provider. You can also search for your local center here

  1. I’ll be curious to see Fallout’s numbers after the last episode is released. I think a fair amount of people are waiting to binge the whole thing. This season has been thoroughly enjoyable – I hope people watch.

    1. That’s a fair point: I am one of those who prefers to wait for the entire series to be available before I start watching it. ‘Fallout’ was released as a binge for the first season and a bunch of folks suggested it could have been — should have been — released on a weekly schedule, like ‘The Boys’ to give people a chance to talk about it. And I think it might have worked, except they chose a weird time to release the series and there honestly wasn’t a lot of promotion or build up before it came out. It will be interesting to see what they do with season three.
