Here’s A BUNCH OF TV News
Welp. Looks like Netflix is going to be the new owner of Warner Bros. and HBO — but not Discovery (including CNN and Discovery+), which means there’s still a possibility Bari Weiss could get her hands on CNN. Stay tuned.
Netflix says they “expect” to continue releasing Warner Bros. films theatrically, but we’ll see how that goes.
People are freaking out over this deal, calling it the “death of Hollywood.” Personally, I’m glad it’s Netflix and not Universal or Paramount, both of whom would just devour a classic studio. Let’s see how they play it.
Maybe you shouldn’t have screwed them over South Park, David.
THIS IS A STRANGER THINGS SPOILER. You’ve been warned:
The head of BET for 23 years, Scott Mills, is out thanks to the Paramount/Skydance merger.
Quentin Tarantino’s unprovoked attack on Paul Dano has not gone unnoticed.
Amazon Fire TV is rolling out a feature that allows you to skip to a particular scene in a movie.
The doctor who sold Matthew Perry ketamine is going to jail for 30 months.
The Supernatural guys ain’t got time for President Sleepy.
Sue them harder, New York Times.
Congressman Jamie Raskin filed a complaint with CBS’s new “ombudsman” over their edited 60 Minutes interview with President Alzheimer’s because what’s good for the goose and all that.
Wait, you’re telling me President Huckster doesn’t pay his bills?!?!? If only we knew that before we elected him TWO TIMES.
Hold up, Tim Daly and Tea Leoni are married? Did I know that?
Feel better and take care of yourself, Alyssa Farah Griffin!
Maybe love isn’t dead after all! Congratulations, Kim Cattrall and Russell Thomas!
