Here’s A BUNCH OF TV News

“TV Needs Another Lost.” Couldn’t agree more but it will never happen. Lost debuted when network TV was still dominant and unifying. Thanks to streaming, there is no TV experience that is that universal anymore, where we are all watching the same thing at the same time. And it probably will never come back.

Pete Davidson (whose appearance on SNL this week was the best thing in the episode — more on that soon, I hope) says he’d return to the show in a heartbeat if Lorne wanted him to. (Calm down, not gonna happen.)

If you’ve watched the excellent Death by Lightning on Netflix (and if you’re interested in U.S. History, I recommend that you do), here are some fact checks on the limited series’ telling of the assassination of James Garfield.

And if you have watched Death by Lightning, here is the cast compared to the real people they portrayed. Give that casting director a raise.

Vince Gilligan hates AI. Good.

Let’s check in on what One Million Moms are mad about today. A Wheel of Fortune category? Sure. Why not.

And in other Weird Things People Get Mad About news …

For my TV news junkies, here’s a list of the most pivotal moments in network news.

Obviously, Ryan Murphy is casting from OnlyFans; where do you think he’s casting from?

At least she has a good sense of humor about being the lead on the worst-reviewed TV show of the year. I mean, it’s a huge streaming hit for Hulu, so she’s getting the last laugh.

To be fair to Kim, it’s been a rough week. But hey, if you can’t be a real lawyer, a TV lawyer is the next best thing, right?

Happy 60th, Days of Our Lives!

So there was a kerfuffle at the BBC, thanks to their President Dipshit coverage. One of their documentaries edited January 6 footage of President Instigator speaking to the crowd that made it sound like he directly encouraged the riot at the Capitol. Now, whether or not he did is up for debate, for sure, but this was definitely edited to make his part in the riot more obvious — or appear that way. As a result, BBC’s director general Tim Davie and the CEO of News, Deborah Turness, both resigned over the weekend, proving, once again, that right-wing bullying gets results.

President Coup crowed about it on Truth Social — because of course he did — and is still threatening to sue the BBC even though he’s already collected a couple of scalps.

The thing is, this President and his administration are desperate to be a part of “the culture,” and if you insist on putting yourself out there that way, you’re going to be mocked for it. They do this to themselves, is what I’m saying.

Jimmy Kimmel’s wife and head writer, Molly McNearney, opens up about her family supporting President Dementia, and how painful it is for her.

Oscar Isaac says, “Fix your fascism, Disney.”

This is satisfying.
