Here’s A BUNCH OF TV News
Someone has finally figured out that “Paramount+ with Showtime” is a profoundly stupid name and renamed it “Paramount+ Premium.” And while that’s marginally better, we’re still dealing with stupid because Showtime, the cable channel, will remain named “Paramount+ with Showtime.” Even though it’s not Paramount+, it’s just Showtime, and no one calls it “Paramount+ with Showtime,” they just call it “Showtime.” I wonder how much they paid consultants for this geniusness.
Sarah Michelle Gellar says that her dream is to bring everyone who died on Buffy the Vampire Slayer back in the new series, and everyone is freaking out about this idea. HOWEVER, they are not paying attention to the next half of her sentence, which is: “but space will have to be made for new stories as well.” So maybe everyone should temper their expectations a little?
Hannah Brown reveals that winning Dancing With the Stars left her feeling “empty” because “It actually carried no weight.” Ma’am. It’s a TV dancing competition, not a Master’s Degree.
There’s not going to be an Everybody Loves Raymond reboot, you guys, and that’s OK.
Quick update on our Not War: After bombing Iran, President Doinkus declared a ceasefire between Israel and Iran. But Israel was like, “lol, sure,” and dropped some more bombs on Iran. This infuriated President TACO, who then screamed on live TV that Israel “don’t know what the fuck they’re doing.”
Trump is furious at Israel this morning for bombing Iran after his cease fire was announced, and says he’s “not happy with Israel” and they “don’t know what the fuck they’re doing.”

Well, someone doesn’t know what the fuck they’re doing, but I’m not sure it’s Israel.

Oh, and the FTC is apparently launching an investigation into whether Media Matters worked “illegally” with other groups to organize a boycott against Twitter. Apparently, the complaint is that Media Matters reported that advertisements were running next to posts with anti-semitic and pro-Nazi sentiments. Media Matters has filed a lawsuit against the FTC because FIRST AMENDMENT, YOU FUCKERS. I am so tired.

A group of Democratic senators, using a privilege afforded all members of Congress, will host a Pride concert at the Kennedy Center. The right is framing it as a “partisan political prank.”
You’re going to have to pay extra to watch the next season of House of David on Prime Video.
Somehow, Gilda Radner’s brother was receiving all of Sarah Sherman’s residual checks, which she took as a sign from the universe. It’s very sweet.
The time Dax Shepard and Eric Dane nearly came to blows at an AA meeting.
“Bullies make me fucking sick”: Pedro Pascal on J.K. Rowling and why Pedro Pascal is the best. (If you love Pedro, you should read the entire piece.)
LOL, I don’t usually care about royal nonsense, but the idea — THE NOTION — that the Royal Family doesn’t even really think about Meghan Markle all that much, akshully, is hilarious. Sure, Jan.
A contestant on the Australian Beauty and the Geek has been charged with murdering her partner, but because of Australia’s weird laws, her name hasn’t been released. So it’s one of the women in the picture at the link, we’re just not sure which one.
Get well soon, Dolores Catania, and take care of yourself!
#MeToo
“Mr. Perry took his success and power and used his considerable influence in the entertainment industry to create a coercive, sexually exploitative dynamic with Mr. Dixon — initially promising him career advancement and creative opportunities, such as producing his pilot and casting him in his show, only to subject him to escalating sexual harassment, assault and battery, and professional retaliation when Mr. Dixon did not reciprocate Mr. Perry’s unwanted advances,” the lawsuit reads. “These events occurred while Mr. Dixon was employed as a series regular on the Tyler Perry show ‘The Oval,’ and while Mr. Perry held direct control over his employment, compensation and creative opportunities.”
Tyler Perry has denied the allegations.
Fat Joe’s former hype man, Terrance “T.A.” Dixon (no relation to Derek Dixon above — at least I don’t think there is), is suing the rapper for $20 million, alleging that he engaged in “coercive labor exploitation, financial fraud, sexual manipulation, violent intimidation, and psychological coercion.” The lawsuit alleges that Dixon witnessed Fat Joe have sex with minors and coerced Dixon into more than 4,000 sexual acts.
In a truly bizarre incident, Karate Kid and Cobra Kai actor Martin Kove bit and then tried to kiss his co-star Alicia Hannah-Kim at a fan convention. The police were called, but Hannah-Kim ultimately declined to press charges. Kove claims he was just joking around, which as Pajiba points out, is the go-to for older actors when they get caught behaving inappropriately.
Former NBA player Eric Bledsoe was arrested for domestic violence.
A reminder: Jerry Seinfeld once dated a literal teenager when he was in his late 30s and no one really thought anything about it.
The co-creator of The Sandman talks about “weird” it was to finish the show in the shadow of the Gaiman allegations.
Johnny Depp calls himself a “crash test dummy” for the #MeToo movement, and he can just go right ahead and get bent.
Oh, hey look, another old actor who thinks intimacy coordinators are silly and unnecessary. I would say that he needs to speak to Dakota Johnson about it, but he’s literally in a conversation with two actors in that interview, and he still doesn’t get it.
Barbara Streisand is pissed that she wasn’t paid as much as the male actors on Meet the Fockers.
Robin Wright is pissed that she wasn’t paid as much as Kevin Spacey on House of Cards.
And the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders were pissed that they were only being paid $15 an hour, and pushed for a pay raise … and got it. A 400% pay raise at that.
