Here’s A BUNCH OF TV News

Lester Holt signed off at NBC News last week: “I’m so grateful for your trust around here. Facts matter, words matter, journalism matters, and you matter.”

Leslie Stahl is already grieving the settlement Paramount will undoubtedly make with President TACO.

Meanwhile, California is threatening to investigate if Paramount settles with President TACO.

PBS is suing President TACO. Be more like PBS, Paramount.

Nielsen has released the list of the 100 most-watched series for the 2024-2025 season, and Netflix dominated. In the top 10, Tracker, High Potential, and Matlock were the only network series to break through. But none of them were big enough to beat Squid Game or Adolescence.

The creator of True Detective wants to bring Rust Cohle and Marty Hart back for another season.

S.W.A.T. is returning in a new spinoff series, Exiles, with Shemar Moore, but none of the other cast, and that other cast, as you might imagine, are disappointed.

Unfortunately, this is the nature of the TV business these days: the longer a series goes, the more expensive it becomes. So after a few seasons, they spin the series off, cut most of the cast whose contracts were about to become more expensive, and manage to continue to profit off a familiar brand name.

The best reality TV, according to the critics.

You can visit the Cliff House from Netflix’s Sirens, if you’re interested.

Jenna Ortega says Wednesday Addams would hate the commercialization of the show, and Jenna Ortega ain’t wrong.

Yes to more bonkers shows from Severance writers, no to Severance spinoffs. Please.

Uh-oh, I agree with Clint Eastwood about something?

Creator of procedural dramas argues that we need more procedural dramas. (That said, my artsy 20-year-old LOVES him some House, so maybe this guy is on to something.)

Ryan Phillippe’s acting career began as a gay teenager on One Life to Live — the first gay teenager on television — and it was a game-changer for so many viewers.

Looks like people never really forgave THAT death in The Last of Us this season. Will they come back for season three?

Won’t someone please pay attention to Megyn Kelly? PLEASE?

There’s a whole mess happening over in the world of Broadway, and it’s pretty funny.

There’s a whole P.R. battle happening in the Beckham family, and it’s pretty funny, too.

And Just Like That … is back, and it needs fewer ugly bonnets and cringe-tastic phone sex and more Samantha:

Is love dead?

Congratulations, Hailee Steinfeld and Josh Allen!

Congratulations, Jack Wagner and Michelle Wolf.

Congratulations, Robin Thicke and April Love Geary.

On a personal note: I missed Friday because my kid graduated from this school (in architecture, not in acting/singing). I’m pretty damn proud.
