Here’s A BUNCH OF TV News

Someone punched Steve Buscemi in the face when he was just walking down the street in New York, minding his own business, and I AM FURIOUS. HOW FUCKING DARE.

Oh, honey, no one is inviting you back.

Eurovision Song Contest was full of controversy and witches and I was here for it. A lot of the controversy surrounded the decision to allow Israel to compete after the contest Russia out in 2022 following their invasion of Ukraine, which felt to some like a double standard. But there was also some badmouthing of that witch I mentioned, and one frontrunner was kicked out after some questionable behavior.

This is Nemo, the kid from Switzerland who won:

This was the Dutch guy who got kicked out for menacing a camerawoman:

This Croatian singer’s name is “Baby Lasagna” and he nearly won:

This is Bambie Thug, an Irish bog witch who calls her genre of music “Oujia Pop,” and she was my very favorite:

But I think we can all agree that if it was a fair world, Windows95 Man from Finland would have won. JORTS 4EVA!!!!

The British government is displeased with Netflix over this whole Baby Reindeer thing.

It’s no great mystery why Quantum Leap wasn’t saved on Peacock: it just didn’t have the ratings.

Welcome back!

Aww, congratulations to Mae Whitman!

Congratulations to Zack and Bliss!

R.I.P.

Roger Corman, Legendary Oscar-winning director and producer known as “King of the B-movies” and “The Pope of Pop Cinema,” who made The Masque of the Red DeathDeath Race 2000, Little Shop of Horrors, and Piranha among many others

“Roger Corman gave me my start in movies. He set the guidelines, and then he gave me tremendous freedom within those guidelines. In essence, he taught me how to actually make movies. If I hadn’t worked with Roger, I wouldn’t have known how to make ‘Mean Streets’ or, when it comes right down to it, any of the pictures that followed. It was the same for many, many other filmmakers of my generation. I admired Roger, I loved him, I loved the pictures he directed (especially the Poe adaptations) and the spirit of his filmmaking. And I will always be grateful for the opportunity he gave me, and the education. I will always be proud to say that I graduated from the school of Roger Corman.” — Martin Scorsese
