Hey, apparently “nice guy” Jimmy Fallon is actually a terrible boss and huge jerk who berates and mistreats his employees to the point that they joke about suicide and use the guest dressing rooms as “crying rooms.” His behavior is so nasty that while as a guest on the show, Jerry Seinfeld demanded Fallon apologize to a cue card guy, to whom Fallon was rude. The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon has gone through nine showrunners in nine years — which is just about all you really need to know. And not to be a Monday morning quarterback, but he’s always seemed like a fake faker to me, so absolutely no part of this story is particularly surprising, except for how long it took to come out.
In a statement to Rolling Stone who published the story about Fallon originally, NBC was … cagey.
“We are incredibly proud of The Tonight Show, and providing a respectful working environment is a top priority,” a spokesperson said. “As in any workplace, we have had employees raise issues; those have been investigated and action has been taken where appropriate. As is always the case, we encourage employees who feel they have experienced or observed behavior inconsistent with our policies to report their concerns so that we may address them accordingly.”
Fallon’s people declined to comment altogether.

Michael Patrick King, the creator of And Just Like That, thinks he knows when the audience turned against Che, but BOY HOWDY IS HE WRONG — it wasn’t that incident between Che and Miranda in the kitchen; the audience turned against Che from the minute they came on screen with their unfunny podcast, their unfunny stand-up comedy, and just general abrasiveness. But it is completely unsurprising that the man who created Che — and insists on keeping Che around — would misunderstand why the audience has responded so negatively towards Che from the get-go.
