Here’s A BUNCH OF TV News
Happy May the Fourth from Donnie, Marie, Kris Kristofferson, Redd Foxx, and Paul Lynde! (This is my childhood summarized.)
The Goldbergs and A Million Little Things both ended on ABC last night. A Million Little Things was emotional (and manipulative) as could be expected. In this piece, the creator DJ Nash reveals that he always pitched the show to end this way, but that only a small number of people knew his plan. (OBVIOUSLY ALL OF THE SPOILERS.) And here we learn that there was a sexy scene that was cut from the episode for time.
As for The Goldbergs, the showrunners revealed that this was not the series finale they would have planned (and it definitely felt like it); they found out the show had been canceled a few days after they filmed it. Here’s how it ended, if you’re interested. Also, they included a huge continuity error, but what else would one expect from this dumpster fire? Bye, The Goldbergs! You went on four seasons too long, The Goldbergs!
Stanley Tucci is confident that Searching for Italy will have a new home, and we’ll find out in a few weeks. Let’s hope!
Christina Applegate says that Dead to Me will most likely be the last time she works on camera. Fuck MS, man.
Another day, another Tucker leak.

Jamie Foxx has sent a message to his fans. Hope he’s feeling better soon.
Writers’ Strike Update:
Saturday Night Live has canceled its two other remaining episodes for the season and OH NO, Jennifer Coolidge and Kieran Culkin had been set to host. GOD DAMN IT, ALLIANCE OF MOTION PICTURE AND TELEVISION PRODUCERS. STOP BEING ASSHOLES. PAY THE WRITERS FAIRLY ALREADY.
Drew Barrymore has dropped out as host of the MTV Movie & TV Awards as a show of solidarity with the WGA.
Unstable on Netflix is the most recent series to shut down production.
Here’s all the weird shit that happened because of the last writers’ strike — not the least of which was the rise of Celebrity Apprentice. And we know how that ended.
NBC’s Tonight Show and Late Night will pay their writers for at least three weeks of striking.
Paramount Global CEO Bob Bakish said that they had plenty of content to get them through the strike and added that there is a “pretty big gap” between the WGA’s demands and what the AMPTP is willing to give. Paramount’s stock dived 26%.
Here’s a question: Is Taylor Sheridan, the writer and creator of Yellowstone, is he striking? Because he could apply a lot of pressure if he wanted to.
Day one of the strike has cost the entertainment industry $10 billion in share value.
