Here’s A BUNCH OF TV News
Mother Ru has some important words about the current anti-drag legislation that is infecting our politics for some goddamned reason. Our queens need all the support we can give them in this stupid and unwarranted culture war, so please get ready to vote these fuckers out of office.
“Hey, look over there! A classic distraction technique, distracting us away from the real issues that they were voted into office to focus on: jobs, healthcare, keeping our children safe from harm at their own school. But we know that bullies are incompetent at solving real issues. They look for easy targets so they can give the impression of being effective. They think our love, our light, our laughter and our joy are signs of weakness. But they’re wrong because that is our strength.
“Drag queens are the Marines of the queer movement. Don’t get it twisted and don’t be distracted. Register to vote so we can get these stunt queens out of office and put some smart people with real solutions into government. And by the way, a social media post has never been as powerful as a registered vote.”
HBO has released an image of Ellie’s mother in The Last of Us, who will appear in Sunday’s finale. I don’t usually post promotional images because … who cares? But this one is interesting because it suggests that Ellie’s immunity might be tied to her mother’s fate, and there’s speculation that we will learn how Marlene knew about Ellie and her immunity. Neither is shown in the game, so this would be another opportunity for the show to expand on the game’s narrative — and honestly, those have been my favorite moments on this show.
The Price is Right is leaving its iconic studio in Television City for the first time in over fifty years.
I know that Brett Goldstein knows his Muppets, and I can see Roy Kent as Oscar the Grouch, but Keely as Janice? Nope. Keely doesn’t give off that hippie vibe whatsoever. Keely is Annie Sue, duh.
Houston’s own CW weatherman, Adam Krueger, has been taking challenges from viewers to incorporate song and rap lyrics into his weather reports, and a Snoop Dogg challenge got Snoop’s attention:
The Office actors have a hard time not looking into the camera on other movies and shows now.
I know I’m not the only one who watches Netflix with the captions on. Good news: they’re making the caption size adjustable for those of us with old eyes.
Yesterday was International Women’s Day, and Vought International took note:
This International Women’s Day, Vought is proud to report that nearly 7% of our staff is female. From the genius minds in Crime Analtics to our CEO who never has a hair out of place, we value strong women. We’re even open to new she-roes joining The Seven, if Homelander approves! pic.twitter.com/Ty1W4pOABq

NBCUniversal better give the Saturday Night Live post-production editors anything they want because they are the only thing that makes that show watchable, most weeks.
Y’all. There’s definitely going to be a writers’ strike.
Just heard of a show at a major network where the showrunner – the SHOWRUNNER – is being told the production can’t afford to pay her or her assistant for the next two months because the star’s vacation schedule is eating into the budget. 1/2

And there are so many obvious reasons why this is appalling and infuriating — but I'll focus on one: IT'S FUCKING STUPID. IT'S BAD BUSINESS. IT'S BAD CREATIVELY. YOUR. SHOW. WILL. SUFFER.

And yes I deleted and edited that last tweet to fix a misuse of an apostrophe CUZ I'M GODDAMN WRITER.

These craven fucks. They'll tell a powerhouse female show runner their "hands are tied" and "they totally get it she doesn't want to write" now. She wants to fucking write! And she wants to get PAID. FOR. IT.

This isn’t about TV, but by now y’all have seen these Houston podcasters being rudely interrupted, right? Speaking as a mother, NEVER SAY “IT’S SO QUIET” BECAUSE THE UNIVERSE WILL FIX THAT REAL QUICK.

I just started watching the Last of Us and was thrilled to see to see Anna Torv pop up. I then noticed that HBO also streams Fringe, and I rewatched the finale of Season 5 (the low budget, 20 year jump forward). The rewatch made me wonder if you recapped it? It sure seems like it would have been up your alley, but I did not see it on the site. Thanks!
Hey, Richard.
In fact, I did recap Fringe back in my Tubular days over on Chron.com. Unfortunately, Chron.com scrapped Tubular altogether, and all my writing that was there is gone. I seem to have some of my entries saved, but I need to dig around and see if I saved all of them … I loved that show.
Thanks for reaching out!
