@acoalcorn12 It’s very important to stop mislabeling dogs as “aggressive” if they are not! Here’s A BUNCH OF TV News
Two huge cancelations today: one of a beloved show that will end on a high note; the other of a once beloved show that lost its way and should have ended at least four seasons ago.
First up: Succession.
HBO’s brilliant Emmy-winning series will end with this upcoming fourth season, as suspected, especially after Jeremy Strong suggested in a recent interview that the series finale will “feel like a death.”
Series creator Jesse Armstrong confirmed in an interview with The New Yorker yesterday that the series would end, saying: “There’s a promise in the title of ‘Succession.’ I’ve never thought this could go on forever,” he told The New Yorker Thursday. “The end has always been kind of present in my mind. From Season 2, I’ve been trying to think: Is it the next one, or the one after that, or is it the one after that?”
He added, “We could do a couple of short seasons, or two more seasons. Or we could go on for ages and turn the show into something rather different, and be a more rangy, freewheeling kind of fun show, where there would be good weeks and bad weeks. Or we could do something a bit more muscular and complete, and go out sort of strong. And that was definitely always my preference.”
Armstrong did leave open the possibility of a spinoff, though, despite HBO head Casey Bloys suggesting that was unlikely in a recent interview.
I’m sad that it will end this season, but happy that it will go out on its own terms and at its peak.

As for a series that will be going out at the OPPOSITE of its peak: The Goldbergs will end on ABC with this current 10th season. FINALLY.
The entire premise of The Goldbergs is that it was based on creator Adam Goldberg’s family and his experience of growing up in the 1980s. However, Goldberg himself left as showrunner after season six, and the show should have ended at that point. Instead, it dragged out for four more seasons, through one beloved cast member’s death, and a controversy over another cast member’s behavior on set. The series lost its connection to the source material and eventually Goldberg took his name off the show, and even the real Beverly Goldberg has taken to criticizing the show online. It’s a shame — the show will certainly be remembered fondly, but it is a perfect example of a series overstaying its welcome.
Party Down returns on Starz tonight after not being on the air for 13 years, and so far the reviews have been good. This is an excellent piece about the inherent melancholy of reviving a comedy, and why some revivals don’t work, versus the ones that do — because they lean into that melancholy.
When he hosted Saturday Night Live, Pedro Pascal joked in his monologue about how inappropriate it is for him to use his Mandalorian voice when speaking to children. He’s not kidding, y’all, don’t ask Pedro Pascal to use his Daddy Mandalorian voice when speaking to your 7-year-old. It creeps him out.
Speaking of The Mandalorian, there is no endgame planned for the series.
Jesse Lee Soffer explains why he left Chicago P.D. TL;DR: he was bored and wanted to do other things.
I can’t read this story about the Janis Joplin film starring P!nk that never got made without immediately thinking about Jackie Jormp-Jomp.
I am not going to lie, there are some items on this list of Real Housewives products that I would definitely purchase for myself. I am not to be trusted to be anywhere near this link after having had a couple of glasses of wine.
There was talk of a Karen spinoff of Will & Grace, and I can’t decide if I’m happy it didn’t happen or very disappointed that it didn’t happen.
Feel better soon, Bethenny Frankel.
It’s been one year since Russia invaded Ukraine, and while the conflict doesn’t dominate the news anymore, U.S. news outlets vow they will continue to cover it.
