This is not a trailer for The Boys, but rather for the in-series movie, Dawn of the Seven (The Bourke Cut). Just … bellissimo.
This Is Us‘s finale includes footage that was filmed years ago — a fact I remember being leaked at the time. Anyway, be sure to hydrate before heading into it.
Welp, John Mulaney done did it. At a show this weekend in Ohio, Mulaney had a surprise opener: Dave Chappelle. And Chappelle did not hesitate to do his anti-trans material, to the disgust and dismay of some Mulaney fans who certainly did not sign up for this.
y’all ever hear ~12,000 people laugh at a transphobic joke, while you’re a trans person in the audience who didn’t know the transphobic comedian would make a surprise appearance at the John Mulaney show? yeah. wasn’t fun. fuck you D.C.

That's AWFUL.

POV: You sign up and pay for John Mulaney's comedy and are instead forced to suffer through your own dehumanization by someone you would not knowingly pay to listen to. I wish cisgender people would get it through their thick skulls how harmful this actually is. https://t.co/7oDM4n7Ksv
John Mulaney deadass built his career thanks to queer teens/young adults turning his comedy into common quotes and memes, and he turns around and shits in their faces by bringing Dave Chappelle to one of his shows, tacitly endorsing his comedy and jokes

Celebrities who like to portray an image of a nice, politically conscious, cool-and-feminist guy almost always nope out when it gets inconvenient. You might say they have the moral backbone of a chocolate eclair. This is a tweet about John Mulaney.

Listen, as someone who was a huge Chappelle fan who is disappointed in this bigoted turn he’s taken, I can make the choice to not watch his specials and not attend his shows. I know that this is a big part of his material now, so I can choose to not pay him to offend me and put hate out into the universe towards people I love. And I genuinely don’t begrudge the people who choose to support him — it’s your money, not mine. But BOY HOWDY would I be pissed to have homophobic and transphobic “comedy” foisted upon me when I did not expect it, LIKE AT A JOHN MULANEY SHOW. Not cool, Mulaney.
Seriously, though, what is happening to male comedians of my generation (ish)? Why are their brains turning to mush the minute they turn 40?
So that Will Smith interview with Dave Letterman on My Next Guest Needs No Introduction was taped before the Oscars and was not the booking coup I originally thought it was. But for those looking for clues into his behavior at the Oscars, Smith spoke openly about his “pain” growing up in an abusive household, and at one point, jokingly pretended to throw a punch at Dave when he brought up Will Smith’s mother. He also noted that it’s “impossible” to completely protect one’s family from the outside world.
