SATURDAY

Old: I finally got around to watching this on a plane recently, and I’m here to say 1. it’s batshit insane and 2. it has one of the dumbest endings of any movie I have ever seen. 10/10 would recommend. (For the same reasons I recommend The Happening.) 7 p.m., HBO

Blazing Saddles: A popular thing for people to say about this Mel Brooks classic is that it couldn’t be made today. This is a thing that is said by people who don’t realize the heroes of the movie aren’t the racists, but the butt of the jokes.  5:15 p.m., FXM

SUNDAY

Purple Rain: We all know this isn’t a great film. That said, name me a movie with a better soundtrack. Go ahead, I’m waiting.  7 p.m., BET Her

Paranormal Activity: It didn’t invent found footage, but it did something new and interesting with it. 8:50 p.m., Epix Drive-In
