Abbott Elementary stuck the landing:

Kim Kardashian had never seen Saturday Night Live before hosting it, which just feels very on-brand.
Maisie Williams opened up about resenting Arya Stark when she herself was becoming a woman, and how the world’s expectations for her to be like her character stifled her own self-expression. As for playing Arya Stark again in a potential spinoff? Probably not. But never say never.
So, some TikToker claimed that she slept with Clayton Echard in New York City, and Echard had to be like, “Yeah, no, I was in Arizona at the time, so it wasn’t me.” And it was a whole thing and apparently Reality Steve got himself in the middle of it all and anyway, everything is fine between Clayton and Susie, stand down.
Moonlighting isn’t available on streaming thanks to music license issues. Disney owns it, but they’ve dragged their feet about streaming it because it would be a pain to replace the music with something less expensive.
The Jeopardy! fans have spoken.
IMDb TV is changing its name to Freevee on April 27.
Russians are suing Netflix for shutting off service in the wake of the invasion of Ukraine. Good luck with all that.

Last Week:
This Week:

Cases are rising again. Fortunately, hospitalizations and deaths continue to decline. That said, the decline in those numbers have slowed. Not to be a Chicken Little, but it’s not a great trend.
The CDC is keeping the mask requirement on planes in place for at least another two weeks, despite pressure from airlines and Republicans, and frankly, I’m grateful. In Europe, some nations have dropped their airline mask requirements and the outcome was depressingly predictable:
SO DAMN PREDICTABLE—UK 🇬🇧 govt drops restrictions, airlines like @easyJet drops masks… and less than 2 weeks later… huge spike in pilots and flight attendants out sick with #COVID19 unable to work, and 120 flights cancelled! Airline CEOs asked for this. https://t.co/zVOc2g2KzS pic.twitter.com/YWD7XIOodl

Broadway continues to be rocked by COVID outbreaks.
Anderson Cooper tested positive for COVID.
New York Mayor Eric Adams tested positive.
Nancy Pelosi, Merrick Garland, Susan Collins, Raphael Warnock have all tested positive, along about 60 other people who attended the Gridiron Dinner in Washington DC.
Tucker Carlson is out here saying he didn’t get vaccinated. Fox News required their employees get vaccinated, so either he’s lying or he’s breaking their policy.
The CMT Music Awards had to make backup plans after their planned host Kelsea Ballerini tested positive. She hosted from home, and Kane Brown filled in in person.
But in positive news: The Daily Show returned to the studio with an audience for the first time in two years.
And a study suggests what you probably already know: streaming saved Hollywood (and all of us) during the worst of the pandemic shutdowns.

R.I.P.
Gilbert Gottfried, Legendary comedian and actor with a distinctive voice. As you can see below, the comedy world is in mourning. And trust me, spend the five minutes to watch the Hollywood Squares video below. It will be the highlight of your day.
— Gilbert Gottfried (@RealGilbert) April 12, 2022
Gilbert Gottfried made me laugh at times when laughter did not come easily. What a gift. I did not know him well but I loved what he shared with me. My best wishes and sympathy to his family. #ripGilbertGottfried

I saw Gilbert perform in 1985 and when he entered to applause he said, “Thank you, thank you very much.” He then continued to say “thank you” repeatedly for ten full minutes. It was the nerviest, funniest thing I had seen. So sorry to lose this sweet and delightfully funny man.

Gilbert, I don’t want to believe this. I loved him. I’m heartbroken for his beautiful family. Say it ain’t so. For almost 40 years his spectacular comedy blew me away.
You can’t be funnier. My God, all who experienced him are crushed. Say it ain’t so.🙏♥️ https://t.co/pO3HW36ta7— Richard Lewis (@TheRichardLewis) April 12, 2022
Just a super nice person. With a scathing wit. And I was always honored when he aimed that wit at me. He was both new school & old school at the same time. Rest In Peace Gilbert Gottfried. https://t.co/AcAn8K5l0L

Gilbert Gottfried made me laugh so hard that day on set, I could barely do my job. A wholly original comic, and an equally kind and humble guy behind the scenes. He will be missed. https://t.co/93cKB6KEg8

I shall miss you, my friend, my sometimes foil, my always pain in my side, usually from the belly laughs. The heavens are a great deal louder with you out there now, I’m sure. Keep ‘em shaking their heads and smiling, Gilbert. https://t.co/Wv1UGlKCQy

Even though Gilbert Gottfried was the funniest, he was the easiest "yes". He wasn't shameless, just the least pretentious person. Had a huge heart without a hint of sanctimony. This was special – Gilbert w/ a kid who learned to talk by imitating Iago. 4:15 https://t.co/fNIqjlE2iJ

rest in peace to Gilbert Gottfried who has probably the best sequence in game show history on Hollywood Squares. if you're not an old hag like me who remembers the rules, both contestants needed his square to secure the 5-square win, but he decided to troll both of them pic.twitter.com/Egzyzygudd

Gilbert Gottfried was the best. We once decided to punish UK audiences for their law prohibiting the use of parliamentary footage in comedy programs, by having him read Brexit legalese and Bigfoot erotica. Stick around till he gets to the erotica.https://t.co/4Zu0zPNGUi

Life,Animated, is a doc about a kid named Owen Suskind who has regressive autism and the one day he stopped speaking.
He only reacted to Disney films, especially Iago from Aladdin played by Gilbert Gottfried. It was through this he learned to speak again.
Then he met Gilbert… pic.twitter.com/AMj4liTIvT
