TUESDAY

Alien Marathon: All of the Alien movies, even the shitty ones. (I’ll never get those two hours of my life that I spent watching Alien 3 back.) 7 p.m., BBC

Alfred Hitchcock marathon: It begins with Rear Window and goes through Wednesday, including Vertigo, Psycho and The Birds and ends with Rope. 8 p.m., Starz Encore Suspense

World Series Game 6: GO ASTROS! 6:30 p.m., Fox

WEDNESDAY

World Biggest Ghost Hunt: Investigators are locked inside an asylum for two weeks. This is what they found. 7 p.m., A&E

Flavorful Origins: I’ve never heard of this Chinese documentary series, but it apparently explores Chinese food and it looks gorgeous. By the way, I’m obsessed with Chinese food. Netflix

Ghost Hunters: Season finale. 9 p.m., A&E

They Live: I urge you to watch this cult classic if you’ve never seen it. It feels more relevant than ever. 8:45 p.m., Showtime Beyond

World Series Game 7: ~praying this won’t be needed because the Astros will have won on Tuesday~ 6:30 p.m., Fox

THURSDAY

Ghost Adventures: Zak and his team of dummies investigate a Rhode Island farm. 8 p.m., Travel

Mysteries Decoded: A look at New Orleans’ vampire scene. As I’ve said here once or a thousand times, I lived in New Orleans for a while, and highly recommend taking a vampire tour next time you’re in town. They are interesting and occasionally unintentionally hilarious. 8 p.m., The CW

The 13 Scariest Movies of All Time: The scariest movie I’ve seen in recent years is Hereditary. I am going to assume Hereditary is not on this list. 7 p.m., The CW

Hereditary: It’s Halloween. So I’m going to watch Hereditary. Amazon Prime

FRIDAY

Oprah’s Book Club: Oprah will be tackling Ta-Nehisi Coates’ The Water Dancer. Series premiere. Apple TV+

Dickinson: Hailee Steinfeld stars as Emily Dickinson in this very unconventional depiction of the poet’s life. Series premiere. Apple TV+

For All Mankind: OK, but what if the Russians got to the moon first? asks this new alternative history sci-fi series. Series premiere. Apple TV+

The Morning Show: Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon and Steve Carrell star in this TV news drama, also known as Apple TV+’s biggest swing. Series premiere. Apple TV+

See: Jason Momoa stars in this new dystopian fantasy in which humanity has lost the ability to see. Series premiere. Apple TV+

Atypical: Third season premiere. Netflix

The Great British Baking Show: The most soothing show on television is back. Season premiere. Netflix

American Son: Kerry Washington stars in this adaptation of the critically-acclaimed Broadway play. Netflix

The King: Timothée Chalamet is Henry V and rocking an unfortunate haircut. Netflix

Queer Eye: We’re in Japan!: I mean, the title pretty much tells you everything. Netflix

Saturday Night Live: Kristen Stewart & Coldplay. 10:30 p.m., NBC

Ratatouille: It’s not my favorite Pixar movie, but it might be the studio’s most underappreicated film. 10:20 p.m., Freeform

The Affair: It’s Whitney’s wedding day, so that should go well. Series finale. 8 p.m., Showtime

The Real Housewives of Atlanta: Kenya loves being a new mother in the season premiere. 7 p.m., Bravo

The Walking Dead: “Negan is idolized by an Alexandrian” so that is not terrific news. 8 p.m., AMC
