GUESS WHO JUST GOT HIS PRESS CREDENTIALS RESTORED (temporarily). The judge apparently ruled very narrowly on a temporary restraining order only, leaving open the possibility that the case could still go to court if the two sides don’t come to an agreement. On CNN: “[Legal expert Jeffrey] Toobin laid out two scenarios that could follow: The White House ‘either calls Acosta and they shake hands…which would be the sensible ruling..’ Or, Trump’s White House may decide to establish the process and try to take away Acosta’s press pass ‘and continue the fight.’ ‘This situation cries out for a sensible, honorable non-legal resolution,’ Toobin said.”
Yeah, that’s likely. In the meantime: EAT IT, PRESIDENT MELTDOWN AND SARAH SUCKABEE SANDERS.
Related: Chris Wallace conducted an interview with our baby president and asked him about this case. It will air on Fox News on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Fox News has been boycotting Twitter since the Tucker Carlson incident and it is now entering its second week. What is interesting is that Fox News stopped tweeting about the same time as the Drudge Report, Jill Stein, The National Enquirer, and Wikileaks. Stein, The National Enquirer, and Wikileaks have since resumed tweeting, but there were many wondering why there seemed to be a coordinated silence amongst these groups.
Streaming dramas are challenging the notion that dramas have to be an hour and comedies are 30-minutes and I am HERE FOR IT.
Apparently, in The Haunting of Hill House, Shirley was also supposed to have psychic powers, like SPOILER! Theo, but if so, that was some undercooked writing, I gotta say.
Might Filmstruck be saved? I have one subscriber in my house who has his fingers crossed.
There’s not a whole lot here because it’s early yet, but here’s everything we know about Jordan Peele’s Twilight Zone reboot. It goes along with some fun casting news below.
Dirty John will premiere on Bravo on November 25, but you can watch the first episode on bravotv.com, YouTube, On Demand or on the Bravo app right now if you just can’t wait.
We have an excerpt from Fire & Blood, the book that has been distracting George R.R. Martin from finishing The Winds of Winter.
There is a new board and phone game based on the Black Mirror episode “Nosedive” which is A TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE IDEA.
This isn’t TV news, but the revelation that the homeless man and that married couple who set up a GoFundMe and raised $400,000 was all a scam is 1. hilarious and 2. seems like something out of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. My husband called it “The Gang Starts a Charity.”
And this is a round-up of news that might make you think we are actually living in The Good Place.
Have you seen the Elton John Christmas commercial? OK BUT WHY DID THIS MAKE ME CRY? I DON’T EVEN KNOW WHAT I’M CRYING ABOUT.
Megan Mullally and Nick Offerman continue to give us relationship goals. WARNING: Naughty cake in that post.
Get well soon, Amy Schumer! As someone who suffered from hyperemesis with both pregnancies, I feel ya, girl.
