Not only is The Walking Dead not going anywhere for the next decade, but AMC also wants to make SO MUCH MORE. From a Bloomberg report on an investor conference:
The company, which owns the popular zombie-apocalypse series, plans to produce multiple movies and new TV shows based on the graphic novels that spawned the series, according to people familiar with the plans. AMC has talked to several large media companies about partnering on the projects, which collectively could cost several hundred million dollars.
MULTIPLE MOVIES AND NEW TV SHOWS. Dude, I can’t keep up with the shows we have. And, frankly, I just don’t know how many more takes on the “we’re out here surviving the zombie apocalypse with our dirty gray clothes and intense faces” genre we need?
Modern Family might not end this season after all. That said, if there is an 11th season, it sounds like it will DEFINITELY be the last.
HEY EVERYONE QUIT DISTRACTING GEORGE R.R. MARTIN FROM FINISHING THE BOOKS BY ASKING HIM WHY IT’S TAKING HIM SO LONG TO FINISH THE BOOKS. YOU ARE ONLY EXACERBATING THE PROBLEM.
We knew she was coming back, but it’s still nice to see Jessica Lange back on the AHS set.

There was nearly an animation strike, but then there wasn’t.
#MeToo
After an independent investigation looking into the work culture at the Dallas Mavericks revealed “numerous instances of sexual harassment and other improper workplace conduct,” Mark Cuban pledged $10 million “to groups helping victims of domestic violence and to hire women in sports leadership roles.” Good for you, Mark Cuban. It’s a shame the abuse happened, but let’s give Cuban credit for taking ownership of this.
A bunch of actresses came together to make a video in support of Dr. Blasey Ford including Marissa Tomei, America Ferrera, Julianne Moore, Gabrielle Union, Eva Longoria, and Amber Tamblyn:
Ashley Judd’s lawsuit against Harvey Weinstein continues afoot, as does Bill Cosby’s sentencing.

Julie Chen continues to give everyone the finger.
Ian Buruma, the editor of The New York Review of Books, is out after publishing a self-pitying piece by Jian Ghomeshi, a man who was accused of harassment by 20 women. This is an interesting story which begs a lot of difficult questions about telling the #MeToo story from the other side and whether or not there should be a space for that.
