Creators and entertainers continue to say “fuck you,” to Fox News, because, seriously, fuck those guys.

More entertainers and creators continue to speak out against Fox News’ atrocious coverage of the immigrant child crisis.

Kurt Sutter, the Sons of Anarchy showrunner, wrote to Deadline:

“The political decision made by this administration was heinous. But I don’t consider what Fox airs as ‘news’. It’s manipulative propaganda, run by oligarchs, delivered by puppets, to control the fearful. What I do with FX and Fox 21 is not influenced by that energy. Yes, we are all owned by the parent company, but contrarily, at FX, other artists and myself are given the freedom to tell stories that address real issues in a truthful way. I guess we just learn to live with the sad irony that our fiction is more truthful than Fox News’ facts.”

Westworld’s Johnathan Tucker promised to send the money he made working on Fox projects to RAICES.

Meanwhile, Joe Scarborough demanded to know what Fox News was going to do to help reunite the children who have been ripped from their parents with their families. Though Trump’s executive order promises to not separate families anymore, there is no mechanism in place to return the 2,300 children who have already been taken and dispersed around the country.

“What are you going to do in this time of crisis where 2,300 BABIES are being incarcerated by Donald Trump’s centralized state. What is your response to that moral and ethical question that has a bearing now on how the rest of world sees the United States of America? What are you going to do today to help us find those children, locate those children and unite those CHILDREN with their parents?”

Except Fox News is too busy congratulating themselves for being the only network to cover Trump’s propaganda rally to respond.

And speaking of chyrons, ABC done fucked up. They’re sorry. (LOL)

  1. Ms. Odell, here’s a bit of awesome news. A husband and wife were so outraged that they created a FaceBook account for donations to reunite immigrant children and parents. They were hoping for 50 thousand (in their wildest dreams). WELL….Since Saturday they raised 17 MILLION DOLLARS!!!!!! AND COUNTING!!!!!!! They are giving the money to Raices. NPR reported on it today. Raices is overwhelmed and, frankly, so am I. Sooooo Happy to send good news!!!!

    1. Yes — I actually donated to that fundraiser, I think. It gives me hope that the vast majority of Americans actually do care and want to help. Thanks for sharing!
