The Trump campaign targeted ‘Walking Dead’ fans for the most cynical reason, and it sure looks like it worked.

Donald Trump targeted The Walking Dead fans with anti-immigration ads, which, of course just makes sense as The Walking Dead is one long Aesop fable about fearing outsiders. Oh, and they ran anti-Obamacare ads during NCIS because your grandma hates socialized medicine (with the exception of her Medicare) as much as she loves that handsome Mark Harmon.

Headlines I’m guessing we wouldn’t have seen under a Clinton presidency: “Is It OK for Reporters to Call Racists Racist?” Related: CNN formally apologized for that terrible chyron.

And here’s Seth Meyer’s look at how Donald Trump’s foreign business ties could be in violation of the Constitution. FUN. LOOK AT HOW MUCH FUN WE’RE HAVING.

It took them long enough, but HBO has announced a line of Game of Thrones wines. They don’t come out until next spring which is a tactical error on their part, as the dual insult of Trump’s inauguration and the debut of Nick Viall as the god-damned Bachelor both happen in January.

Well fuck me gently with a chainsaw, Shannen Doherty is in the remake of Heathers:

Parker Posey has been cast in Netflix’s remake of Lost in Space as Dr. Smith, no less, and now I’m suddenly interested in watching Netflix’s remake of Lost in Space.

And in a trifecta of awesome casting news, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon‘s Michelle Yeoh is going to star in the new Star Trek series.

Let’s talk ratings: This is Us is virtually a sure thing for a second season; Lethal Weapon looks pretty safe at Fox, but I wouldn’t hold out hope for Scream Queens; Pure Genius is doomed at CBS, but Kevin Can Wait looks like a lock; ABC’s comedies all look pretty safe for renewal with the exception of The Real O’Neals; and No Tomorrow and Frequency are all but doomed at The CW (but interestingly, not noted as  “Dead Shows Walking” by Cancel Bear).

The holiday specials are here — A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving airs tonight, in fact. Just in time, Honest Trailers tackles the weirdness that is Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer:

Stephen Colbert is here to answer your pressing turkey questions:

And Uproxx has some gift ideas for the TV and movie fans in your life. As does i09.

Ellen DeGeneres was one of 21 civilians to receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom, in part for her bravery in coming out on her sitcom nearly 20 years ago, and it was very moving. Other recipients included Tom Hanks, Bruce Springsteen, Michael Jordan, Diana Ross, Robert Redford, Lorne Michaels, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Bill and Melinda Gates, Robert De Niro, and Cicely Tyson.

Here is your first look at the final season of Girls. I am genuinely going to miss this show.

And here’s a look at Judd Apatow’s newest HBO series, Crashing, starring Pete Holmes as a stand-up comic whose life is collapsing around him:

Fox has ordered a pilot of Thin Ice, an Antarctic workplace comedy from New Girl‘s Liz Meriwether. In other news, if I were Liz Meriwether, I would have a Donald Trump-esque hissyfit at Deadline for using that very unflattering photo of me.

In other development news:

Call the Midwife has been renewed for three more seasons by BBC One.

R.I.P. Ron Thornton, Emmy-winning visual effects artist.
